  • The location of the apartment was fantastic. It was right near campo di fiori and really close to other major attractions in Rome. We arrived at midnight in Rome and Emiliano organised a driver to pick us up from the airport. Our driver was great. We were greeted by Mr S and he kindly gave us directions to a laundry mat and buses. The only slight downside is that there is no natural sun light in the place. However, we already knew this given the other reviews. Plus when you're in Rome you will be out most of the day, so all you need is a bed and shower. Great host and would recommend the place for others to stay.

  • We had a great time in the John Cabot Uni Apartment. On arrival we were welcomed with a delicious present and got some local tips for nice nearby restaurants. The apartment was spotless clean. It is very well equipped with all you may wish for including wifi, all kinds of kitchen equipment and a washing machine. The neighborhood is great and all highlights of Rome are at walking distance. Emiliano and Maria are very kind hosts and we could make agreements with them on arriving and leaving at the times that most suited us. All by all we strongly recommend them as hosts and this apartment.

  • The location is great, the apartment was clean, the bottle of wine waiting for us was well appreciated. Like a fool I locked myself out of the apartment. I called the host and someone came quickly to let me back in. The hot water in the shower does go fast as mentioned in other reviews; however, if you get wet, turn off the water, lather up, and then turn it back on to rinse off, it is enough. We where able to easily walk to everything we wanted to see and there are some great restaurants and bars near by.

  • If you're in Rome to see and smell the history - well who isn't? - then this really is the perfect place to stay.

This beautiful private ground floor apartment is in a former carriage house, in a former palace, in a former 2000 year old Roman theatre right between the Palatine Hill, the Forum and the Tiber. All around you are Roman ruins and if you go round the back of the building you can clearly see 2 floors of impressive colonnades of the Teatro di Marcello holding up the palace.

It's within comfortable walking distance of all the historic sights, museums and galleries. Most central bus routes pass within a 10 minute walk of the apartment. The Vatican is no more than 10 minutes on a bus alongside the river. Restaurants and shops start just round the corner in the heart of the Jewish Quarter and stretch to Campo dé Fiori and the Centro Storico.

If you want a break from the city, I really recommend going for a peaceful walk/bike along the Via Antica Appia (Appian Way) into the countryside south of Rome, amongst even more Roman ruins and on stretches of original Roman cobbles.

The owner is a very charming and knowledgeable British lady who's lived in Italy most of her life and adores the city.

  • Our stay at the TRASTEVERE PURE JEWEL NEW APARTMENT was very nice. The apartment matched the description and pictures. Emiliano and Maria Luisa also helped us to arrange with a car to and from the airport which was very convenient.

  • As advertised, this is a bright and quiet place. The bedroom is spacious and the living room is especially large and comfortable. It's on the 5th (top) floor and the elevator is quick and reliable. The bathroom is a bit cramped, but is really okay. Emiliano and Maria are very helpful and have great neighborhood suggestions. The neighborhood is really the best part of this. Great restaurants and cafe's and all services. And if you have kids there's a really nice park/playground a block away. A 5 minute walk to the Testaccio market, which is truly fabulous. Across the river from Trastevere and a short walk to the Centro. Highly recommended.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Emilliano and Maria Luisa's apartment in Trastevere. The flat is spacious and very comfortable. Trastevere is the perfect area for visiting. Most of the streets are pedestrian, filled with cafes and restaurants. We would certainly be coming to this apartment again when we are next in Rome.

  • Emiliano was very responsive and available to answer questions. The person who greeted us there gave us also good advice to come from Termini train station.
It was also very flexible in our hours of arrival and departure, which is great!

We had nice days in Roma, the location of the flat is perfect!
    Few things:
    - That's not obvious in the description but there is almost no light from outside
    - The left pane of the glass door was broken so it was quite noisy and a bit cold in the night
    - We were 2 friends, we used the extra bed and the sofa, it was not praticale to use the double bed and the extra bed so i will more advice it for a couple.
    - For 2 people, the hot water was quite light
