the owner is surprisingly rude and unhelpful. all else is definitely worth the price
It is regarding the the comment by our valuable guest guest that "the owner was rude "
so please note that when the guest came on arrival the rooms were given to the guests & were allowed to go to the roof top for Breakfast & get relaxed ,after that when they came down & were requested to do the formalities for the Bureau of immigration department ie: to sign the visitor book with the permanent address , To get the photo taken to fill in the on -line form for Bureau of immigration & that's compulsory for each & every foreign tourist staying at any hotel/ guest house or B&B & those form are to be filled & has to be send within 24hours,
So myself requested the Guest to fulfill the above mentioned formalities & when asked to give the photo the most valuable guests started arguing on these issue & started blaming that so far we haven't done all this since we came to India, I gentally tried to explain them once again that this is compulsory for each & every tourist so you have to also to go through these processes.
Then these young girls started abusing me for all the legal formalities which has to be done by each & every foreign tourist, In such a case I has to tell them if can't co-operate then you can see some other place for youself because we don't want any problems with the Bureau of Immigrations.
The guesthouse is in a good location, with good lake views. The rooms were pretty nice. This is not really a private home, it's more like a commercial hotel, with a coffee shop on the ground floor and a restaurant on the roof.
We had a wonderful time at the Jheel guesthouse. Lovely staff and the best espresso in all of Udaipur.
What a gorgeous little place, right on the lake edge! We loved the wonderful view each morning from our character filled rooms - very relaxing & totally Udaipur.
We had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. Our room had a nice view of the lake, and we could easily walk to the main attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful and the place is very clean. The rooftop restaurant was the best veg we had during our trip, the food is definetly worth the wait.
