Welcome to "Seas the Bay 2" This charming 700 sqft. 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage offers stunning views of Kitty Hawk Bay! Just 5 min from the beach, local food, & nightlife, our dock on the bay is a perfect place to enjoy sunrises on the water. This listing is for 4 guests, perfect for couples, a small family, or friends. Another airbnb rental cottage is on the same property to the right, there is shared parking and dock access but no living spaces shared.
The space
This cottage has the most amazing views from the inside and the open deck! A note about the cottage size. It is 700 sqft. There are no closets and very minimal storage to keep clothing. There are multiple hooks for hanging clothing, a few drawers, and two luggage racks. There is not a ton of floor space in the queen bedroom. It is very cozy and well decorated. The doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms are pocket doors. If you need a lot of privacy and space in bedrooms and the bathroom, then this may not be your place. If you love being cozy and close to friends and loved ones with epic views, then this IS THE PLACE!

Driving slowly down this private road is a MUST! Neighbors near by appreciate guests who understand that this is a private and peaceful place to stay. Kids and dogs are frequently playing nearby and on the street.
You will park under the larger cottage and on the left side. The guests of the Airbnb next door park on the right side. You will walk up to your cottage to the left. Two cars is the preferred maximum for this property.

Beaches and Sound access:
There are scenic roads and a multi-use path (1.5 miles away) that you can walk to or access by bike to enjoy our local landscapes and wildlife. At the end of the multi-use path is a covered deck and a small beach that is on Kitty Hawk Bay. Beautiful place to watch sunsets.
Our home is a quick 5 minute drive (1.8 miles) straight across the bypass to the beach. You have access to public parking and a bathhouse! If you hang late on the beach and are thirsty and hungry there are two excellent restaurants with outdoor bars located right next to the beach access.
Gas/convenience:
Our home is just 1.5 miles from the closest convenience store and gas station.
Shopping/Groceries:
A beautiful 8 minute drive (4 miles) down a road full of woods and beautiful trees will take you to Walmart, Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Home Depot, Starbucks, Dollar Tree, and many other smaller stores including a nail salon and Chinese take out.
Booking during Hurricane Season (June 1st-Nov. 30th):
Booking a stay on our little sandbar during Hurricane season does carry the risk of your stay being effected by a storm. These storms are unpredictable and can occur most often days or maybe a week before your stay. As listed, we have a strict cancellation policy with no refund for stays cancelled within 7 days of your arrival. We do not refund your stay if you must be evacuated or choose to leave the area. We encourage guests booking during this season to purchase their own travel insurance policy through an independent company or through Airbnb if they are nervous about this and would like peace of mind about receiving some sort of refund. Some of the most beautiful times of the year on the Outer Banks are during Hurricane season, but our policies are important for you to consider when booking.

Neighborhood highlights
Our cottage is located in one the best kept secrets on the Outer Banks. Just a few minutes from Hwy 158, is a quiet and tucked away neighborhood that is family friendly with little to no traffic except for the locals who live here. Our bay views are stunning and your views expand from Kitty Hawk all the way down to Colington near the monument.
When sitting on your deck or on the dock there is a white plantation house to your left, this is where Wilbur and Orville Wright first arrived and stayed at this property while getting themselves settled for their first flights! The live oaks in the neighborhood are 300-400 years old and create a dreamy southern landscape.

You will more than likely see a local deer family along the street that neighbors feed, and also rabbits. We have occasionally seen otters out front in the water too!
