Please read the important notes and FAQ BEFORE booking the apartment.
This charming unique, spacious 110 sqm one bedroom apartment is located on the second floor in a 19th century renovated townhouse above an art gallery in the heart of Brussels art and chocolate district: The Grand Sablon. The apartment has its original Art Nouveau stain glass windows, sculptured high ceilings and woodwork, 2 marble fireplaces, a modern fully equipped kitchen with a small balcony, a spacious bathroom with a Jacuzzi and a bedroom with skylight and plenty of closets. The apartment has been decorated by art and antique dealers and is perfect for those who like to travel in style and luxury.
Breakfast and dining
In your apartment you’ll find free coffee and tea but we do not serve breakfast. There are several bakeries and stores nearby, so you can prepare your own breakfast in the apartment if you like, but the Sablon area is known for good eating and here are several places in the neighborhood where you can discover more exciting choices than coffee and bread. There is the famous bakery the Pain Quotidien which is on the Grand Sablon and is great for farm style home made rolls and breads, though pricy. There is Snack Aimé which is one of our favorites and it is just around the corner at the end of Rollebeek street (one of Brussels oldest street dating back to 1564 ) which is a pedestrian street and there you'll find delicious homemade fruit tarts and wonderful hero sandwiches, soups and salads all very reasonable priced. Of course you should try the croissants and pastries at Wittamer, delicious and very pricy. If you like sampling some of Belgium’s goodies, then the Grand Sablon have some of the best gourmet shops in the world - like chocolatiers Pierre Marcolini, Whittamer, Neuhaus and Godiva. Not to mention some of the best dining in Europe - Les Brigitinnes (by far our favourite restaurant), Au Vieux Saint Martin, Lola, Comme Chez Soi are nearby.
Ideal for those who like a romantic weekend in the luxury of a 19th century Hotel de Maitre. Only few steps away from the gay neighborhood.
The apartment is private and is only for the two of you. However in the building there is a shared laundry room, which you can use free of charge.
The Sablon is in the center of town in the old city. You’re a five minute walk from the Grand’Place. The Sunday antique market is outside your front door. A few minutes walk away is the daily flea market (marché aux puces) or the exuberant Sunday South Market (food and clothes) at the South (Midi/Zuid) Station
For those who like museums : the Fine Art museum, the Erotic Museum, the Magritte Museum, the Music Instrument museum, the Comic Strip museum and the Horta house are all around the corner in walking distance.
As for shopping, you’re close to over 100 art and antique galleries, Avenue Louise, and Rue Dansaert, Brussels’ fashion street. There is a supermarket on the Grand Sablon, so food shopping is easy.
Parking and public transport
Apart from parking in the street (pay meters) there is the Albertine parking only 50 meters away. (This apartment is located so central you won't really need your car). The nearest Metro (Central Station) is a seven minute walk. Basically every attraction is in walking distant. The apartment is approx 7 minutes walking from Central Station. There is the Airport Express Train every 20 minutes from the airport to Central Station. (fair 7,60 euro single). There is a bus stop in the street approx 30 mtrs. away.

The welcome, the location, design, cleaning, Everything was fine and professional ! Thanks !
Really nice experience at Trente's Sablon Art Nouveau flat; very nicely fit and 1st class location should you want to visit the Grand Place, Marolles, Mont des Arts, etc.. among places we'd like to recommend is the Peï & Meî restaurant on Rollebeek just a street up right to the flat.
Fantastic apartment with great jacuzzi bath! Close to grand place and some nice bars and restaurants.
My Husband and I stayed in the Rembrant Apartment for Valentines (website hidden) Apartment was Beautiful, Comfortable and Very Romantic. You are right in the thick of the city. There are Museums, Stores and Sights just minutes from the apartment. I am looking foward to staying here again on my next trip to Brussels.
My boyfriend and I stayed here last week for 3 nights as part of a little beer/chocolate indulgence trip. Ludmila, who met us at the flat, was fantastic. She doesn't speak any English but is very animated so communicating wasn't a problem at all. After hearing that we were a veggie and vegan, I was very touched when she knocked on the door 5 mins after leaving, with her mother on the phone saying, "Ludmila would like to take you both to the health food shop, so put on your shoes!"
This is a truly lovely apartment in a nice part of town, when you're out and about it's a warming feeling to know you have a beautiful apartment to come back to. There's not much to do in Brussels, so making sure you have a nice place to stay, I would say, is very important.
Eating chocolates in a bubbling jacuzzi with big fluffy towels waiting on the radiator is definitely my idea of a relaxing trip.
The ONLY flaw was that the espresso machine does need servicing or replacing.
We were thrilled with Trente's place in the Sablon. Her communication throughout the booking and leading up to our trip was timely and highly responsive. A member of her team met us there and was flexible around an early arrival. When we had some questions around the heating, it was immediately addressed and checked to make sure all was ok. The location of the apartment could not have been better, and it is very well appointed and furnished with an impressive collection of art and fitting for the area- even better than the pictures. We were comfortable and enjoyed some great meals using the kitchen. Would come back again and have recommended to a number of people already. Thank you Trente and team!
Great stylish apartment, on a perfect location!
The welcome by Ludmila was warm and helpful. Recommendable apartment for those who love Brussels in a passionate way!
We enjoyed the period features of the apartment and the location was perfectly in walking distance to all the places we wanted yo visit. Thanks, Trente, we'd be happy to come back on our next visit to Brussels.
What a unique experience for us to stay in any apartment in Brussels, Belgium, but specifically, the Bugatti apartment at 47 Grand Sablon. We arrived at our check in time to be greeted by Ludmilla from the apartment's wrought iron balcony - "Bonjour!", she said, cheerily. Through the sturdy black entrance door, we made our way up a few flights of well-worn stairs to enter the Bugatti apartment. We were welcomed with a feast for the eyes - from the intricate carvings on pillars flanking the kitchen to the detailed ceiling moldings in the living and dining areas. A marble mantel in each main room focused our eye - one in green the other in ivory/black. The neutral decor allowed special pieces in each room to shine - a young boy figurine carved of stone languidly posing, an Asian statue guarding the windows, a lovely painting on the mirrored frame above the fireplace. The light rose and green stained glass windows on the balcony doors in the kitchen added delicious elegance to an otherwise functional kitchen. The patina'd wood floors supplied warmth and connected the rooms. The sounds from the street were quiet in the back sleeping area, even more so with the windowed French doors between the living and dining rooms drawn. And the luxurious bathroom with its own heat allowed for a cozy grooming experience. The jacuzzi bath/shower was a welcome respite after long days exploring the city. The apartment managed to provide plenty of storage with unassuming cabinets that seemed to blend into the walls. And the Delonghi espresso machine and supplied coffee contributed to leisurely breakfast cappuccinos each day. The Wifi served us very well, but I can't speak for the TV - we didn't turn it on once. And the supplied maps and guidebooks served the purpose of a concierge admirably. Detailed touches like tea/sugar in the cabinets and beautiful accompanying dishes enhanced our experience. We had a few concerns connecting up with our North American phones, but once I actually spoke with Filip, all went smoothly for check in. The markets nearby were just what was needed to support our apartment experience. The location in the Grand Sablon was perfect for antique/flea markets, shops, restaurants, and historical sites. I would love to keep this wonderful apartment a secret, but I would be doing a disservice to Trente if I didn't offer praise for a job well done. We hope to go back!
