Kristoffer provided excellent communication before and during our trip. He kindly provided instructions for reaching his apartment from the airport as well as a list of nearby shops and cafes for our enjoyment. The apartment is nice and open with high ceilings and well sized! Central station is just down the street which provides easy transport around the city. Overall we had a great experience and Kristoffer went above and beyond to make our stay very pleasant.
We had a very pleasant stay at Kristoffer's flat. He was kind enough to accept us as his guests even though we had to come late in the evening due to our flight schedule. The apartment is very stylish and pretty, but also spacious. We really loved it there! Kristoffer was also a very good communicator. We got all information we needed. Thanks a lot for everything!
A fabulous apartment in the center of Copenhagen, steps from restaurants, shops supermarket, trains and more. Kristoffer is a fantastic host! The apartment has such a great vibe!
It felt very much as if a good friend (with good taste!) invited us to stay in his apartment while he was out of town, and took great care to help us feel welcomed and comfortable.
The apartment is clean, very comfortable, attractive, stimulating to the senses, and is bright by day and quiet by night. So many nice touches throughout, from the wonderful bedroom lighting, smooth hardwood floors (nice tactile feel for walking barefoot), and a well-appointed kitchen that makes cooking meals fun and effortless.
We also had a friend stay with us one night and the pullout couch in the living room was perfect (with all linens supplied) and the room itself could be closed off for complete privacy.
We will certainly seek to stay there again when we return to Copenhagen.
We had a very nice stay at Kristoffer's apartment. It is as described in the listing and the neighborhood is great and safe. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen had all the needed items when we decided to cook. There are 4 good restaurants in the building and three have wonderful outdoor seating. The apartment is also 1 block from the trendy Meatpacking District and the good restaurants there. It is only a short 5 minute walk to the Central Station and from there all of Copenhagen opens up for you. We are active senior citizens, aged 68 & 72, and we did very well in the apartment. Communication with Kris was excellent. He gave us fast replies to all our questions both before and during our stay. I recommend Kris and his apartment for your stay in Copenhagen.
Kristoffer was a great host for us. His place is nicer than it looks in the pictures and the neighborhood is very well located. He also gave us nice chocolate dessert treats on our pillows which was a great way to make us feel welcome. The whole apartment is clean and well decorated and Kristoffer was very accommodating and attentive to us.
We just spent the most enjoyable time at Kristoffer's apartment! He answered all of my questions beforehand and gave us great directions to find his apartment. When we got there, he was greeted our jet-lagged selves, and gave us lots of suggestions on restaurants, things to see and just general tips on the area.
Kristoffer's apartment is really in the most ideal location. Close to the central station and Tivoli, close to the meatpacking district and very close to so many good restaurants. We kept saying to ourselves how happy we were with the location.
When in Copenhagen, it would serve you well to stay in this apartment!
We had a great time staying at Kristoffer's. His apartment was really cool with lots of space and a fantasticly beautiful bedroom and the location was perfect for us. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Kristoffer replied to all our messages instantly and was very helpful. Don't have anything negative to say at all about his apartment!
About the Host, Kristoffer
I'm a classical conductor working with various orchestras in Denmark and Scandinavia. I would like to share my beautiful house when I'm on the road or out travelling.
The old meat packing district has in the last years been transformed into a vibrant night scene with bars, artspaces, and clubs. Quiet during the day, but in the weekends... Party on!
Tivoli is one of the worlds oldest amusement parks. A beautiful garden in the center of the city with lot's of flower, rides, music and events. Great for kids and couples aswell!
A tiny very artsy Café. Have coffee, eat breakfast/brunch and just hang out and enjoy the artwork.
One of my favorite cafées in the neighbourhood. Great for breakfast, but also to get a beer at night. Mixed crowd and nice chillin' music.
Free on sundays. Antique arts, but usually also modern exhibitions. The real sight is the indoor tropical garden and the architecture of the museum.
Take a walk around the old latin quarter. Now very hip and trendy, with many small stores, bars and cafés.
Vega is the place in Copenhagen for rock concerts. Many internationally know artists and Danish bands play here. Just around the corner from my house :-)
Puk serves authentic Danish food. Pickled herring, beer & snaps :-) Try the platter with 3 kinds of herring, Stjerneskud or one of my own favorites; Røget Ål. Mmmmm....
If you are in the neighbourhood, check out the amazing marble sculptures of world famous Danish sculptor Thorvaldsen.
The world famous beer! Check out the brewery, take a tour and have a taste :-)
From here you can take a boat trip around the harbour of Copenhagen. It's a guided tour of about 1 hr. You'll see the Little Mermaid and many historical buildings.
One of Copenhagens most beautiful churches with a splendid wooden organ! The twirled tower allows a great view of Copenhagen for the ones not afraid of heights.
The new Concert Hall is a great venue for classical music, although there is many other events there as well. Take the metro to DR Byen and enjoy the beautiful hall and music.
Christiania is one of Copenhagens main attractions. It started as a sort of hippie community in the 70's but is still going strong. Walk around the neighbourhood and take in the 'wipe'.
A little outside Copenhagen, this is a must for the hardcore art freaks. Great exhibitions (check online), and a super location by the sea. You need at least half a day for this, but it's worth it!
