TreeHouse in the Heart of Woodacre

House - Entire home/apt · Park St, Woodacre, CA 94973, United States

The Space

Welcome to my cabin in the redwood forest, just 45 minutes from San Francisco; surrounded by 200 year old redwood trees.
What makes this place special is that the cabin is a 'tree house' up in the air and touching the trees. This is a comfortable well-lit cabin that can sleep at 4-5 people.

The bedroom has a cozy queen sized bed overlooking the forest with large windows, skylights and lots of open space. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub ready for soaking!
The kitchen is ready to cook any meal with a gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, bean grinder, waffle press, crock pot, Foreman grill, and other helpful gadgets that may be needed for gourmet cooking magic to happen.

The living room has a comfy sofa and over-sized chair that you can snuggle up in while sitting in front of the wood burning fireplace.
At night the big screen TV makes you feel like your are in your very own movie theater. A BlueRay/DVD player, a ROKU system with Netflix unlimited instant watch, and High-speed WIFI as well.

There is a large deck outside furnished with a fire pit, BBQ grill and plenty of seating. Here you'll find everything you need to host a little party, meditate, or do yoga; all in the the quiet sounds of nature.

When you come here, you can expect to unwind. If you are a road bicycling enthusiast, there's not a better place to start from! Point Reyes is a wonderful ride. If you love mountain biking, hiking or horse riding, you have come to Heaven. The trails here are endless and they start literary at the door of the cabin and wind up the mountain behind the house to over look the entire San Geronimo Valley. You will find this to be a cozy cabin where you can rest, work, cook, horse back ride, meditate, do yoga, hike, read or just be. It's all right here waiting for you, and totally private.

The neighborhood is very quiet, but the road leading to our cabin, about 200 feet of it, is not County-maintained. It is rough, rutted, and you will need to drive with extra care for that 1/2 block.

Just down the road, walking distance about 2 minutes away, there is a small country supply restaurant/grocery store. 7 minutes from the house is the infamous town of Fairfax. There you will find everything else you need: 100% organic grocery stores, parks, bars featuring live music 7 days a week, restaurants (Thai, Indian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian, and New Orleans fare) a wine bar, movie theater, library, coffee houses, ice cream shop, surf shop, delis, clothing stores and more.
"Hot tub" is included in the amenities section because I offer a FREE Hot tub session just 7 minutes down the Hill in Fairfax at my Mom's place Frog's Hot Tubs. Must make an appt.!
There is a public bus from Fairfax that can take you around Marin County or to the city of San Francisco.
It's a quick bus ride to the Larkspur Ferry that goes to SF as well, or about a 20 minute drive down the hill. Many people hitch rides from the neighbors with no problems; there is a program of "ride share" that was devised in town so that people can hitch hike without fear. This place is "old school" and friendly.

The coast and the city of Point Reyes is about a 20-minute drive west through the redwood forest. Many shops, restaurants, the beautiful Tomales Bay & the oysters await. The back roads are chock-full of wineries and our famous West-coast cheese factories; perfect for gathering goodies for a picnic!
Petaluma antiquing is another short drive North, and of course the Napa & Sonoma Valley wineries are always a treat.

This place is very unique; you are only 45 minutes from San Francisco but it feels like you are far, far away in a sacred forest retreat. It is also so very convenient for all the outdoor sports you can dream of. It is a comfortable space, and I love all good pets - so bring them with you! It's the perfect place for you to feel like you are home away from home. Come find out for yourself just how wonderful cabin life can be!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the TreeHouse. The cabin itself and the surroundings are fantastic. From a living space standpoint, everything you need is provided (and more - cookies, coffee, books, travel guides, etc.). We only stayed for two nights, but it felt like we had escaped for considerably longer (a major plus). We live in the city and don't have an outside area, so having access to a deck (a large deck, at that) was exciting, and super nice. Even though we were only 20-plus miles away from our home, it truly felt like we were far, far away, in a secluded forest (another plus). There are many windows throughout the house, so you enjoy natural light throughout (including getting to scope trees while in the shower). This definitely (hopefully) won't be our last visit to the TreeHouse. We'll be actively monitoring the Spare the Air website so we can take full advantage of the premises. We missed out on stoking the fires of the fireplace and the outdoor pits - this time - but we'll be back (especially so we can take full advantage of the s'mores-making materials and accoutrements). Overall, a great place to stay and well worth a visit.

  • This is the most perfect little treehouse imaginable. Nestled away in a secluded spot in the middle of the redwoods it felt like we were a million miles from nowhere. And yet we were just 45 mins from San Francisco.

Jayle provided us with everything we needed for the whole weekend: food, firewood and champagne were all there waiting for us and other than a walk around the beautiful forest we really didn't need to leave the house for our entire stay.

We absolutely will be going back here. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

  • This is no ordinary TreeHouse. We kept trying to think of something we might need and it was already there. Jayle has thought of everything to make the stay perfect, it is cozy and very clean. The woods are beautiful. I would like to come back and just hang out and recharge. Also, the Frogs is a great place for soak, sauna, and massage.

  • I was a bit apprehensive about this website but, after my birthday getaway here, I'm pretty upset at myself for not finding this place any sooner!! Everything that everyone said about Jayle and her treehouse is true! We sat by the fire on the deck every night, took a little hike and did absolutely nothing for the remainder of the time (which is what I wanted instead of an alcohol-induced birthday shindig in Vegas). It rained cats and dogs on our last day there which couldn't have been more perfect. It was quite blissful waking up to the sound of rain. I must admit, I'm pretty selfish in feeling like I don't even want to spread the news of this wondrous find in fear of never being able to book it again! Alas, here is my good deed of the day: To the airbnb world, the treehouse is an amazing little hideaway and one would be so lucky to have spent some time here. Thank you Jayle! I had a wonderful birthday; can't wait to return!

  • I stayed in this awesome treehouse for a needed 'private retreat' (just me and my dog) and the home and surroundings did not disappoint on any level. It is in a great location with so many comforts and special touches. Jayle has created such a special environment and has thought of everything. If you like the idea of privacy, quiet, with beautiful surroundings with the coast within 30 minutes, this place is for you!

Thank you ~ Julio and I would love to visit again!

  • As advertised! Serenity in the Treehouse.

Even with the local restaurants minutes away, we stayed and enjoyed all our meals on the spacious outdoor lanai soaking in the Redwoods. Light stroll in the neighborhood hikes was very peaceful and added to the long relaxing weekend. Jayle was the most "Excellent" host. She welcomed us with a bottle of chilled champagne, how did she know I was craving for some bubbly? Mimosa in the morning of course. Thanks again for keeping the
the shelve's filled with snacks, our Lab gives you a loud ~woof~ in that category.

  • This is an amazing home tucked in the Redwood trees hence the name Treehouse. It is charming and decorated in that cottage feel but well appointed with everything you will need and more. Jaylee had champagne and treats for us on our arrival. The deck was spacious and had lots of seating and a fire pit with wood for roasting marshmallows. We had our two granddaughters spend the night and there is a blow up air mattress with an electric pump. They had a ball. We will definitely be back for another stay as our daughters family lives close by and it made it easy to visit. Lots of activities and hopping close by. This is a 5 star place!

  • Best Airbnb experience I had so far. Wonderful house in the woods, very quite and recreational while still not being too far off. The house is very beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail. Everything you might need is available (incl. many basic food items) and especially the kitchen is perfectly equipped to prepare great meals. Communication with Jayle was great and she gave us a lot of tips on the house and the area. Best experience however was to enjoy a nice wine/dinner on the huge terrance with a small fire. Overall very much recommended and I would love to come back soon.

  • We loved the tree house. It was like another world, amongst the beautiful redwoods. It was great sipping a wine on the deck in the evening with a fire. Everything was exactly as described...even the rough road section, which we found amusing but not intimidating in the slightest (& we had a sports car). Also loved netflix & the duralogs. We get neither in our home country of Australia. We would highly recommend this place, which is so close to San Francisco, but seems far away.

  • Highly recommend! We hiked all day and at night sat by the fire on the deck under the redwoods.

Frogs Hot Tubs
Hi there! I live right down the road in Lagunitas, about 5 minutes from the Treehouse, so I'm available to see to any of your needs. I would be happy to add to the already basic stocked kitchen (coffee, tea, spices, staples) on request so that you may have fresh groceries upon arrival, or supply for a picnic! My boyfriend is a CCI, CIA professionally trained Chef and also a wonderful sailor. We spend many of our weekends on the water, and a meal or day trip can also be arranged, schedule & weather permitting of course! Many of my pals are local musicians, so I can let you know about fun events happening during your stay. My Mom owns a local legend "Frogs Hot Tubs & Massage Therapy" and will be happy to schedule you for a complimentary hot tub during your stay. The San Geronimo Valley is a quiet place for introspection, but wide open for adventures big & small be it hiking, biking, cheese & wine tasting, bird watching or just snuggling up by the fire. I look forward to hosting you soon!
