The Space

The Guesthouse is located on the 3rd floor of an apartment building. Here is the 411:
-3 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms (sleeps 6)
-Fully furnished kitchen
-Large living room and eating area.

Located 30 minutes from the Airport and 15 minutes to downtown Nairobi(depending on traffic).

The location is on the campus of a Christian University. Outside the walls of the compound, you can get a true taste of local Kenyan culture.

The apartment is well-equipped with spartan furnishings. It has a bright, spacious, relaxed feel that affords a view of the surrounding campus.

Close to both the Northern By-Pass and the Thika Road Super Highway, it is easily accessible. Even though this is not Beverly Hills, there will soon be a large, modern shopping mall a ten minute walk away.

The apartment has three bedrooms( large ensuite master bedroom with Queen bed), one bedroom with a double and a third room with twins. There is a shower, kitchen and large living dining area.

It is ideal for daily, weekly short-term stays ( self catering ) or longer term stays.

1.) Safari Park Hotel(walking distance) & Windsor Golf & Country Club is a short drive away.
2.) Paradise Lost off Kiambu road for boat riding, fishing and walking on the nature trails.
3.) The Karura Forest is 9km away (12min) great for weekend picnics and visit to the caves.
4.) Happy Life Children's Home for Abandoned Babies is close(great place to hold babies).

  • This is a fabulous apartment. Situated on green, open grounds of a univeristy, it is a few blocks off the Thika Superhighway. The apartment has a spacious living room/dining room combination with walls of windows on three sides. There is a fully equipped kitchen and three good-sized bedrooms. Two bathrooms take it off the charts in terms of space and ease of use. The floors are terrazo; the counters are stone; and the furniture is tasteful and sturdy. The decor is very pleasant, with contemporary colors and styles. The master bedoom, which has a large private bath, has a Masai theme. The apartment is very quiet and comforable. The light is what makes it feel so wonderful. The new Thika mall, complete with Nakumatt and a Java House restaurant, is five minues away. You can arrange to have a taxi driver take you out to dinner or the host will arrange for a cook. You also can eat at the university cafeteria, where we enjoyed a fresh, good meal. Marina is a wonderful host....we kept in touch via text and she stopped by several times. She also had a refrigerator fairly well stocked with the basics. After dealing with the high rates of Nairobi hotels, finding this place is a gem. One more thing---it was spotless. Everything, even the floors, was very clean. I will be going back on all my trips to Nairobi.
