Walk to metro - Plenty of parking

Apartment - Entire home/apt · 1st St, Washington, DC 20011, United States

This is a big 700 sq. feet (65 sq. meters) apartment within walking distance of the Ft. Totten metro station and with ample street parking.

The Space

This is my condo, and I am just looking to make a few extra dollars for a couple of weeks.

METRO - Walk to the Ft. Totten metro train station (green/yellow/red) (.6 miles or .9 km to train, half a block to bus).

PARKING - There is plenty of street parking. While I obviously cannot garantee street parking, I have not EVER known it to be an issue to find parking nearby. Also, given our second floor location, your parked car will very likely be seen from the condo.

SHOPPING - Grocery store, pharmacy, dry cleaners, laundromat, and liquor store half a block away.

CAR RENTAL - In addition to all the major car rental companies, we are proud to be serviced by car sharing companies Zipcar and Car2Go.

TOWELS AND LINENS: these will be provided.

OTHER INFORMATION: the condo is located in the second floor of a two story building.

Because this is my condo, you will have access to most of my stuff, including my TV, bed, futon, dining table, plates, silverware, coffee maker, microwave oven, toaster, washer, dryer, etc.

The kitchen and bathroom are clean and simple. A futon in the living room sleeps another two people, if necessary.

I'll make sure you have a cabinet and closet space to put your clothes in.

Also, everything will be freshly clean, including the fridge, the bed sheets, bathroom, and kitchen, before your stay (that's partly what the cleaning fee is for).

This is not a luxury condo, thanks heaven, since that means both that my mortgage is affordable, and that I can offer you a great deal.

FYI, tickets for parking illegally around the museums or the national mall start at $100, and after 2 tickets, the city can boot your car.

Please use metro to explore our city, wherever you end up staying.

  • all very good and nice.

  • Dany was an excellent host, very responsive, especially as we booked very close to moving in.
The apartment is perfect, very clean and everything was set up for our arrival, very reasonable for the price.
Overall had a wonderful stay, only thing i could say is the neighbourhood can be a little sketchy, however felt completely safe in the apartment and it wasn't an issue.
    Would definitely recommend.

  • My son Devin and his friends enjoyed his stay at Danys apartment. They found it comfortable clean and convenient for all their needs. Thank you Dany!

  • I had a great stay at Dany's place! Everything I needed was in the apartment. I felt like I was at home when I was there! Its close to a metro and a few stores. Dany was very helpful and was very responsive whenever I had an issue. The neighbors were also nice. I highly recommend staying at Dany's place.

  • Horrible Experience.
This property is decent; clean and complete with comfortable accessories like silverware and dishes and bath towels. The problem is the host. After booking, he called my cell phone and then texted me to ask if I was from the area. When my boyfriend called him to ask why he needed to know where I was from, Dany threatened to cancel my reservation (less than 24hrs away) and then hung-up on him. Then, Dany refused to answer the phone. I called him a little while later (from another phone) and he was rude to me as well. He argued with me about my deposit (which I'd already paid of course) and implied that "people like me" were likely to try to steal or violate the agreement. I had no choice but to stay at the property, so I checked in. I noted on the reservation that I'd be staying with 2 small children, but the first morning of my stay I received a rude text message from Dany (who lives downstairs) stating that the neighbors were bothered by their footsteps. And, he sent me an obnoxious text "reminding" me that check-out was at noon. Dany's aesthetic put a damper on my entire AirBnB experience and I can only hope that he's an exception, not the rule.

    Response from Dany:

Iyeli's emailed me saying that she was visiting from out of state. Her profile says she lives locally. Iyeli says that I was rude to her on the phone prior to her stay, but she went ahead and stayed in my apartment anyway. She just seems like a bad apple.

  • This place is the best! It was clean, quiet, plenty of space, full facilities. We spent a lot of time in the apartment, cooking and relax. Also, we had no problem found a parking and not too far from the center. It was the best time ever :)

  • Very nice apartment. Dany was responsive to all messages and friendly.

  • The apartment is close to Metro (15 minutes walking), as Deny said. We got some problems (the bathtub was clogged, as well as the toilet discharge casing was struggling to return). As soon as we said to Deny about those problems he provided the repair. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, with a small supermarket across the street. The apartment has great facilities such as heating, TV, wifi, washing machine and tumble dryer, a great stove, microwave. A comfortable place for the three of us. We have great fun staying in Dany's apartment. We hope to rent again this apartment in the future.

  • It isn't the most glamorous part of town, so don't expect a coffee shop at every corner. That being said, it's hard to find a fault with Danny's apartment. Everything was very clean and the train station was a 10-15 minute well-lit walk away and then a 20 minute ride into town. There was even a grocery just across the street. Highly recommended, especially considering the price.
