In the historical center the nice apartment with private entrance, exclusive and private, on the way Tor de 'Conti, is located above the chapel of Mater Boni Consilii, overlooking the great wall of the Forum of Augustus. The chapel is a small church of Rome, in the district of iron Monti, Via Salita del Grillo.
So the Armellini describes this little church:
"It 'is the title of a devout chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary which is almost opposite to the arc de' Pantani at the foot of the ascent of Grillo. Was built on the principle of the century by the family Sturbinetti, whose houses at that time were crossed by a very narrow alley and uncertain, especially at night. The family received that the alley was closed and reduced to the above devout chapel of the Virgin. "
The apartment is located in a strategic position, as you go out on the right there is the entrance to the House of the Knights of Rhodes, in the Piazza del Grillo, with its medieval tower. From here begins the Ascent of Cricket that leads to the tower of the Militia, the entrance to Trajan's Forum, Piazza del Quirinale.
Via Tor de 'Conti is the pedestrian zone, just a few minutes' walk leads to the Via dei Fori Imperiali, the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, Campidoglio, Trevi Fountain. A short distance away is the metro station Termini and within walking distance of the metro station Cavour, the Colosseum, the Vatican is reached with no more than 5 metro stops. In the immediate vicinity are via Cavour, Via dei Serpenti, Via Nazionale , Via del Corso , full of shops and restaurants.
The apartment is a real treat with a large double bed (king size), built in wardrobes, fireplace, air conditioning, tv, wifi internet, a kitchenette with a fridge, coffee maker, electric stove, microwave. The bathroom is spacious with towels, soap and phone. In the immediate vicinity you will find the laundry room.
The apartment is special ..... very comfortable and will make your holiday unforgettable :)

We had a lovely stay in Rome in Francesca's beautiful studio. It was very well located (only 5 minutes from the Colosseum and the Roman Forum) and secure and the surrounding area was very safe and picturesque. We would totally recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Rome. It was the perfect place to stay for our first anniversary. I'm sure we'll be back!
My fiance and I stayed in Mrs. Carapezza's place for a couple of days. The location was great. It's about 5 minutes from the Colosseum and it took us about 25 minutes to walk to the Vatican. The studio was clean. Francesca was really nice and helpful with directions and recommendations for dining. On one night, I was awoken by cars, but I didn't stay up for long. This place is perfect for a couple.
Staying at Francesca's apartment couldn't be better: the location is absolutely perfect, very close to historical sites (Colosseum and Forum in particular), within easy walking distance of the Pantheon, the Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain, and right in the great Monti neighborhood which has plenty of delicious restaurants and laid back cafes and bars. The apartment itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay, the kitchen is stocked with breakfast essentials and the bathroom with soap and shampoo. Francesca was a very helpful host who accommodated our late arrival and gave us plenty of tips on things to do and restaurants. Grazie mille Francesca!
Location, Location, Location. This small apartment is in the heart of Rome perfect for walkers seeking to see the historic sites.
The apartment is immediately next to upscale Hotel Nerva on a generally quiet street with all the amenities one would need and everything worked perfectly.
Francesca met us as agreed and was warm and helpful. She had generously stocked the place with fruit, candy, a bottle of wine, shampoos, a new soap and the makings for a breakfast. There were current guidebooks, maps, cards of restaurants and other material travelers would require.
We would definitely stay with Francesca again and would recommend this spot to anyone traveling to Rome. Gracias
We stayed here for two nights in Rome and loved the location. We could walk everywhere, and really enjoyed being so close to the colosseium. The studio itself was cosy, safe and had everything we needed.
Francesca's apartment is wonderful! My girlfriend (now Fiancée) and I had an absolutely lovely stay here! The apartment is situated bang in the picturesque heart of Ancient Roma, right next to the Colosseum and with only 10 minutes walk up to the Trevi Fountain. We walked everywhere. We didn't even use public transport once as everything was so close by. I would recommend Francescas place to anyone looking for a relaxing break. It's surroundings are beautiful and romantic.
Francesca herself was very friendly and easy to communicate with. We were late due to the usual airport delays but after one simple phone call she was at the apartment to let us in in 5 minutes! She left us a helpful list of restaurants and places to visit. There was a bottle of wine for us, a coffee machine and even breakfast! The apartment itself is lovely and spacious, the shower is hot and powerful and the queen size bed is seriously comfy.
We can't wait to go back!
Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
Alex & Mairi-Clare.
Great stay in a great little apartment in an amazing location. No complaints at all. Francesca has a cosy little apartment with everything you need, located 2 minutes from the Forum and 5 from the Coliseum. Francesca herself was great and very helpful. Highly recommended. A great stay all round.
A cosy apartment in the very heart of Rome. Francesca was a great host easy to communicate and helpful. This place is perfect for a couple exploring the Eternal City, Apart from being right in the middle of the historic center it's also very well connected to the rest of Rome by public transport.
Francesca's apartment is a great place to stay in Rome, not only for the location [perfect, very close to the ancient foruns], but also for all the details that make the place cozy and comfortable. It is very convenient - next to good stores and restaurants, and we managed to do everything on foot. The important highlights are: the apartment is very charming and it is in fact bigger that it appears to be in the photos. The kitchen is really small, but there is everything one needs to prepare quick meals, like pasta. The bed is big and comfortable and the towels and bed linen are of good quality. The shower is very good and the bathroom was furnished with toiletries. Francesca was very helpful and kind with us and provided all the information we needed for our stay. We arrived in Rome earlier than we expected, but she allowed us to leave our luggage in the apartment, while she was cleaning it. This is another important detail: the place was spotless when we finally entered it and Francesca had left several breakfast itens for us. Not to mention the fact that there is a nice coffee machine and Francesca had even left the capsules for us.All in all, the place is really good and I strongly recommend it!
We woke up every morning amazed to find ourselves living nearly inside Rome's Forum. The ancient building that holds this unique apartment has been updated to comtemporary standards, but you still have the feeling of being a time traveler. After long days wandering through the city it was always a pleasure to find the nearly hidden passage way through the Forum ruins to our ancient winding street, and up to the vine crovered antique door.
Francesca was always available to answer our questions, and she left us supplied with delicious treats, and wine. The fireplace made the winter nights delightful, and the surrounding narrow streets were filled with surprises. Excellent craftspersons, galleries, bakers, gorment foods, grocers, and services were all available within several blocks. Francesca's gracious space helped to make our trip to Rome very comfortble, convenient, genuine, and memorable.
