Thank you for your comment Tricia
I was pretty disappointed to read that you felt as though the main bedroom was like moving into a new house. I’m not quite sure where that came from. Although there were some minor changes, everything was an upgrade to the previous setup. Now there is a huge wardrobe (before there was a small one) and two bedside tables of high quality (i.e. made entirely of wood). The bed is completely new together with the mattress (we bought it in July 2017). Although you probably found the bed aesthetically unattractive, it was chosen for the purpose of not allowing bed bugs, dust mites or other unwanted creatures from accumulating inside the bedroom or around the bed thus making our guests’ stays unpleasant. Although we have never encountered these bug problems, we preferred to take preventative actions due to the fact that it has become a worldwide epidemic. In fact, the bed cost more than a simple one for this reason and in no way was it done on the cheap.
In terms of cleanliness. We have an agency who comes to clean the house for each check in and check out. Even if I double check the apartment to see that all is well, there may be minor things that pass me by (we aren’t perfect after all). However I would have appreciated if you had told me during your stay rather than in a review as I would have resolved any issues you had in that moment. As you said, my communication was stellar so I would never have left you alone, but I would have called the agency to come once more to deal with the issues you had.
I wish you well anyway and best wishes for the future
