Hi there - spend an unforgettable time in Berlin!
The beautiful creatively designed apartment has a wonderful location in the heart of Berlin and is located between the famous fleamarkets Arkonaplatz and Mauerpark. It is also close to the subway station "Bernauer Strasse" which connects to Kreuzberg and Neuköln within a 10 minutes ride.
The apartment is a historical building from 1908 with high ceiling (3,20m) and amazing wooden floors as well as beautiful double windows. The whole apartment is 65 square meters big and has two big rooms (bedroom with big bed 1,80 metres x 2,00 metres and living room with big couches, one of them turns into a proper bed of 2,00 metres x 2,00 metres) plus a hallway, kitchen with storage room, bathroom and balkony. The spacious balkony has a wonderful view and is located to the south, so you will catch the sun all morning until early afternoon. The apartment is located in the third floor and there is an elevator.
The apartment includes:
- LCD TV
- Ipod / Iphone Docking station incl audio cable for all other devices
- Dish washer
- Washing mashine
- Big Fridge with Freezer
- Clothes rail (cupboards are private)
- Fresh towels
Have fun in Rheinsberger Strasse!
In Berlin there arent many special rules to follow.
Basic "no load music after 10PM" & "please be moderate on Sundays".
Please don't wear shoes in the flat and take them off in the hallway. Smoking is ok, but please do it on the balkony.
Apart from that there is a guest manual waiting for you in the flat, containing the Wifi access and further instructions. In general please behave as you would in your own home - that's all :)
Das Apartment ist stillvoll eingerichtet. Die Lage ist bestens. Mit Rhea lief alles unkompliziert. Ich kann die Wohnung mit gutem Gewissen weiter empfehlen und komme selber gerne Mal wieder!
My girlfriend and I had an overall nice stay at Rhea's apartment. We didn't get to meet her in person upon check-in; instead, she left a key for us that was easy to pick up, along with clear instructions about how to enter her apartment. The place is situated on a quiet, residential street just a few blocks away from Berlin's famous Mauerpark (sunday flea market). A 5 minute walk will put you on Oderbergerstrasse, which is filled with lovely restaurants, shops, and cafes, and 10 minutes by foot from the apartment door will bring you to Eberswalderstrasse, which is the heart of Prenzlauerberg and a great transportation hub for going anywhere in Berlin.
Rhea's flat is nicely laid out with an entrance hallway that branches off into the 4 different rooms -- kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room. The living room is tastefully decorated and has two super comfy couches. We spent most of our time hanging out in the apartment here. At night, the lighting is kind of dark (i believe one of the lightbulbs was out) but we got some candles which added a really nice vibe to the room.
The bed/bedroom was super comfortable, and there is tons of storage space for clothing if you are going to be staying more than a few nights. The only main issue we really had was that the bedroom curtains are white and super thin, so light floods into the room as soon as the sun is up. If you go to bed at a reasonable hour, it shouldn't be an issue, but granted that we are talking about Berlin, we came home several times well after the sun was up and had trouble sleeping with so much sunlight, even though we had been out all night.
The kitchen is pretty well equipped -- felt like a bit like a kitchen you might find in a hostel, with random bottles of oil, cooking supplements, and alcohol left behind by previous AirBnB'ers. Most of the stuff left behind was old and not fit for use, and should probably be thrown away ASAP, but the kitchen still had practically everything to cook simple meals if you need to. However, there are so many amazing (and CHEAP) restaurants in the neighborhood, that we only cooked at home several times in 6 days.
Bathroom has everything needed - hairdryer, ample supply of fresh towels, soaps and shampoo, etc. etc. Heating system works WELL which was so important because it was freezing outside.
All in all it was a positive stay, and we would definitely consider Rhea's apartment again.
Great apartment, great location. Very close to the underground but if you feel like walking to the center it takes you through nice parts of Berlin :-) Rhea also made a handbook with tips - we tried Cafe am Neuen See in Tiergarten and we liked it a lot :-)
we had a great time and everything was according to description. The location is great and the apartment really nice and cosy. It was a real berlin experience. Rhea was a great host- it was easy and super pleasant dealing with her. i can only recommend this place. thanks for everything rhea!!!
Great location and apartment. Exactly what was required for a short stay in Berlin
Handling mit Rhea einfach und unkompliziert, die Wohnung wie beschrieben, gemütlich, grosses Doppelbett, Fussnähe zum Prenzlberg und zur Bernauer Str. Danke!!
We had a very pleasant stay in Rhea's apartment. It is extremely well kept. As clean as can be and very comfortable. With a special mention for the large bed. The neighbourhood is Berlin at its best. Quiet streets, trendy cafes, restaurants and shops. All within walking distance from the city center. Definitely a place to recommend.
Hi, I am 32 years old and work as an event manager in Berlin. As my husband lives in Hamburg, I am travelling between the cities. I love to hang out with my husband and friends, go running or have a good read. I also love to travel and host people from all over the world. I have been travelling and staying at other airbnb places as well so I know what it takes to feel comfortable. Let my beautiful apartment be your host :)
