Our charming Parisian apartment is located in a central and high-value location: the Louvre Museum and the Garden of Palais Royal are all within walking distance. Easy access to all public transport.
We rent a charming Parisian apartment in a prime location: the Louvre Museum and the Garden of Palais Royal are all within walking distance. There is an easy access from airports and train stations by public transport.
Lots of charm : authentic wooden beams on ceiling, rustic tiled kitchen, bathroom with shower and real bed in living room. This is the perfect place to enjoy a short term rental in Paris.
It is at the third floor with no lift but with calm neighbours.
The apartment is located in a quiet street in a lively and historic area (restaurants, museums, bars, shopping, nightclubs).
It is also very safe (probably the safest place in Paris due to the presence of a lot of luxury brands and banks)
All famous parisian monuments are accessible on foot or by bike (Velib'). Here are a few places within walking distance:
- Louvre Museum (2 minutes),
- Rue Montorgueil (2 minutes)
- Opera Garnier (10 minutes),
- Palais royal (2 seconds),
- Pont des Arts (5 minutes),
- Notre-Dame Cathedral (15 minutes),
- Rue Etienne Marcel (10 secondes),
- public transit (Metro station: Louvre-Rivoli, Palais Royal, and Châtelet - les Halles)
Other Things to Note
Bed linen and towels
Internet / Wi-fi
electric machine to make orange juice
immeuble tranquille, pas de bruit après 22h

Helene and Romain were great and so responsive to all of our questions both before and during the trip. They also accommodated both our late arrival and (ridiculously) early checkout which made our trip to Paris easy and relaxing. The directions they provided to the apartment were spot on and the studio itself was great-not only very conveniently located for those who want to see the whole city but also in a safe and quiet neighborhood.
Wonderful apartment! Helene and Romain are very nice and helpful. The apartment is cute and has everything you need. I enjoyed my stay there. The neighborhood is very convenient for visiting many of Paris's attractions, and the apartment is close to the metro and lots of nice restaurants and markets. I would definitely stay again!
Helene and Romain are the greatest hosts ever. I had an extended stay (almost a month) at their place and they were amazing. Any issues that come up, they will do everything possible to resolve it. For example, one day the Wifi stopped working, and after trying a few times to fix it with the company, Romain bought a new Wifi box and personally installed it for me. Another time, I was having problems with a neighbor who was making noise, and Romain came and spoke to every person on the floor above me to ask them to be quieter. Another time, I had a personal issue where I needed to adjust the check-out date, and they did it for me so everything worked out. As I said, Helene and Romain are two WONDERFUL hosts.
The place is cozy and cute, and has everything you need. I am a clean person, so I actually brought lots of cleaners from home, but I didn't need to because it was all there. There are window cleaners, dish fluids, detergent, toilet cleaners, drain cleaners, a vacuum cleaner, rubber gloves, really everything you need to keep the place clean.
Location wise, it is ideal; near Rue Montorgueil, the Louvre, but in a side street away from the main roads, so it feels more cozy.
Anyone who books Helene and Romain's place; please take good of it (and take good care of their little plant too!)!
Arrival: very poor
When I arrived (easily, thanks to their good directions) from the very nearby transit (a big plus when staying here), I found myself in front of a box that requires a specific code to enter the building. I looked through all my contact correspondence from Helene and there was no code. I called both Helene and Romaine, and they did not answer their phones, even though I had given them a window of when I would arrive. Luckily, a couple also staying in the building did have a code, and let me in. Once inside, the only direction given was that "they would be waiting for me when I arrived" and that the unit is on the "third floor." There are 3 unmarked doors on the third floor, and they did not indicate which door, so I had to go around knocking on each one. Finally, Romaine called me back, only to find he and Helene were not there to greet me, and left no explanation as to why. So I felt very frustrated at this point. His sister was at the apartment instead, and showed me around.
Space: OK, needs upgraded
The photos are accurate, except that there is no wine to greet you, so I do think this is misleading. The space is cozy but small. The size didn't bother me, and the window was lovely; lots of natural light. Here's the big downer, and I blame myself for not realizing this: there is no where comfortable to sit. There's just a bed and a hard-back chair. No comfy chair or couch. A bigger deal than you would think, especially if you're staying an entire month. I had a chance to check out two other units in the building. One couple rented a unit with another airbnb-type website, and we paid a similar amount. However, his unit was absolutely stunning, with a couch. Their host provided beautiful French wine and was there to greet them with a buzzer code to get into the building (thank god!)
This unit could not be better situation. Close to everything. Walkable to Louvre, shops, restaurants, transit. Safe. Quiet. Met great people in the building itself.
Hosts: OK, but needs improvement
I had a package shipped to Helene and Romain and Romain was very gracious in bringing it by to me himself. For that I am very thankful. He also said he was available at any time if I needed anything. However, after our initial failed meeting, I did not email him in the future for any assistance.
The hosts did not seem to put a lot of effort into making me feel welcome or at home. This space could be layed out so much better. You don't need a massive wooden storage unit that takes up half the room. Please invest in a comfortable place to sit.
We are very annoyed that you felt your arrival "very poor": we waited for you in the street a long time!
You took 4 hours to come from the airport, when people (who don't know Paris) take 2 hours. But it wasn't a problem for us, we totally understand (maybe you had lunch). So without any news from you (and we couldn't reach you since you didn't leave your phone number), I asked my little sister to wait for you because we had to go to work.
She was maybe not so watchful but between the moment you called us and when my sister found you in the staircase, there was just 10 minutes! (what a complaint for that!)
What we regret the most is you didn't give us a word about that during your whole stay... and now it looks like a drama. What a shame!
Hélène and Romain welcomed me upon arrival and Romain even carried my suitcase up to the apartment. They are both very friendly and answered the couple of questions I had.
The apartment is very quiet and has everything needed. There are many brochures about Paris attractions available in a box on the dresser, making it easy for visitors to look through them if needed.
I stayed for a week and found everything very convenient: centrally located, nearby metro stations, restaurants steps away from the apartment along with fruit vendors and a mini supermarket for simple supplies.
I would certainly stay there again. Thanks Hélène and Romain!
The best hosts Paris can offer. It's a charming little apartment in a very safe part of Paris. Near two major metro stations. Loved the big open windows near the bed. Basically, has everything a couple would need.
Helene Et Romain are really great hosts.
Appartment are very cute and cozy, like in photos. There are a lot of light frm the window. Although they are in the heart of Paris, the street and neighbours are quit.
