Our caravan is (email hidden) Louis, a quiet residential terraced site amongst trees and fields, with a crystal clear swimming pool with waterslide, toddler's pool, playground and short tennis court.
A privately owned modern home, generously equipped, it sleeps 4 in two bedrooms separated by an open plan living/kitchen area with microwave, fridge freezer, gas hob and oven. There is also a satellite TV and DVD player with a selection of films for a rare rainy day!
Unusually the caravan has an efficient air conditioning unit which makes sleeping in the hot summer months a more comfortable experience.
There is also a shower room and separate toilet with full mains plumbing & electricity.
Laundry Facilities on site
South facing, enclosed by shrubs and flowers, our fabulous sun deck offers a large canopy, BBQ, outdoor dining and sunbeds, enjoying the morning sun. This area, due to its situation looking out over the hills, is completely private; a haven from the bustling campsite.
Blankets, pillows and downies are provided, and linen is available for the wash cost hire.
There is a double bed and 2 twin beds which can be joined for a double.
We regret the caravan is not suitable at present for babies, as there is no storage for a cot.
Camping St Louis is a quiet, well situated campsite offering restaurant and take away facilities. It is situated between the villages of Pegomas, with shops, restaurants, supermarkets and a farmers market (all within walking distance) and La Roquette, which has more shops and restaurants.
The campsite has an excellent pool open from 10am to 7pm, a toddler’s pool and a water slide. There is also a little snack bar that opens daily and a larger restaurant with take away facilities. Security boxes are available in the office.
The city of Cannes and the wonderful Riviera beaches are approximately 4.5 miles away.
A bus service runs south to Cannes, with shops and beaches, passing through St Jean where there are more shops and restaurants. From Cannes you can take the coastal train and stop off to visit Antibes, Nice, Monaco, Menton and Ventimiglia in Italy, which holds the weekly duty free market on Fridays.
Across the road the service runs north to Grasse, home of the perfumeries, and its bustling old town - parking and traffic is a nightmare so take the bus!
Also worth a visit are Mouans Sartout (market Tuesday morning), Mougins and Valbonne (market Friday morning) and many of the pretty hill towns nearby. In July, when the lavender is at its best, a trip up to the plains to see the lavender in full bloom before the harvest, is spectacular.
There is an excellent Intermarche, where you can buy everything you need, directly across from the site which is open daily and Sunday mornings. Additionally the village of Pegomas has further shops, a bar, pharmacy, banks with cash machines, and a newsagent post office. A walk along the river will take you to the Marche Paysan, where you can fill up your bottle with wine at just €2. There are a number of excellent friendly restaurants offering superb food, at reasonable rates.
I booked with Fiona for the new year and we had a great time. The flat is very clean, comfortable and spacious, there is a huge Tesco two minutes away from the flat as well as a bus stop that takes you straight into town.
Fiona was very helpful, she left taxi numbers and bus times on the notice board.
The flat is located in a nice area with a great view, the instructions on how to get there and were to park were very clear, would definitely book again.
Thank you very much
I stayed at the apartment over the weekend of the Fringe Festival and cannot recommend the apartment highly enough. From the time of making an enquiry to dropping the keys after our stay - Fiona was nothing short of brilliant. Fiona provided essentials such as milk, cereal and croissants as well as 6 cans of Carlsberg! The property itself is beautiful; it has a large double room with en suite and a smaller room with two single beds. The bathroom is lovely and there can be no complaints about anything within the property. A taxi ride from the property to the town centre costs approximately £13.00 each way and there is a Tesco on the doorstep of the property.
All in all, I would heartily recommend this property and if I were to visit the Fringe again I would make another booking.
We stayed at Fiona's flat last week during the Edinburgh Festival. It has been fabulous. The flat is outstandingly well equipped. The beds are very comfortable and Fiona went out of her way to provide us with a princess blown up bed so our four year old didn't have to sleep with us. Thanks Fiona! The flat was spotless and extremely close to Tesco. This was very handy for all our shopping trips. There were also three regular buses (12, 26 and 31) that took us to and from Edinburgh city centre without problems. If we go back to Edinburgh we would love to come back to Fiona's flat. We cannot recommended it highly enough.
We loved Fiona's flat! It was a perfect spot for our last couple of nights in Edinburgh - close enough to reasonably taxi from the city, a great location for easily catching the bus into the attractions and shopping, and conveniently situated very near to the airport for our returning flight home.
Despite our unfortunate late arrival the keyholders were very friendly and accommodating.
The flat itself is outstandingly beautiful - lovely decor and unbelievably comfortable livingroom and bedrooms. Very well-equipped kitchen for meal prep. The beds and the bathrooms were divine. Best sleeps and showers of our whole vacation! Plus the lift was a real bonus for hauling our luggage up and down.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would not hesitate to recommend this place to others!
