Manuel's apartment was perfect for our 5 days in Barce. It is well located in the area of Garcia. MTB is close by but we often just walked to the sights (Sagrada Familia, las Ramblas, Camp Nuo) approx 30 min in each direction. Thanks, Manuel, we enjoyed our time in Barce a lot -
especially the view from the balcony is very nice :)
I really wanted to like this apartment, as it was my 1st Airbnb experience, but it did not live up to my expectations. First off, the elevator was broken from the beginning of our stay until we left, so we had to climb 5 flights of stairs with all our luggage and every time we went out and came back. Secondly, the bathroom was dirty with dust all along the baseboards and bugs around the corner floors, the shower drain did not work properly and the shower head holder did not work. Thirdly, the wireless network was not working in the unit next door, but something needs to be worked on in our unit. So we were woken up by a lady and man to come into the apartment and loudly work for over one hour, while we were confined to the bedroom. The apartment is descent and Manuel did address issues in a timely manner, but this is not what I expected from my 1st Airbnb experience.
Very good， very comfortable， very convenient, Thank you!
Manuel was helpful in providing us with an electric kettle and hair dryer, although the communication at times was a bit slow. Me and my family (four of us in total) stayed for 4 nights but there was only one roll of toilet paper, and it was quite inconvenient when it took us almost two days to get more toilet paper.
The apartment itself was ok. It looked much better in pictures. In reality it was a bit run down -- the thing for holding the showerhead on the wall was broken, and the rope for opening or closing the external blinds in the small bedroom was also broken so we could not control the blinds at all. The small bedroom had two single beds but one of the bed was right below the the window, which opens inwards, so it was impossible to use that bed while having the window open. The bathroom is TINY. I'm used to living in small apartments but it was quite difficulty to even get dressed in the bathroom.
The apartment is on the forth floor but practically it's the 5th. The (only) elevator in the building was out of order on our last two days so it was quite inconvenient when we had to take our luggage down 5 flights of stairs.
The location of the apartment is fine. We could take a bus on Diagonal or the metro (15 minutes walk) to all of the places we waned to go.
