Porumbacu 295 guesthouse is located in Porumbacu de Sus, right in the heart of Transylvania. Original 1876 barn has been transformed into a lovely cottage house that blends its original wooden structure with modern elements to create a warm and comfortable space. The village is an authentic Transylvanian village, a great starting point for travelling around the area: Sibiu, Transfagarasan, saxon villages, fortresses and other sites, but also a perfect hiking area (Negoiu).

The space
The cottage is an old barn that has been renovated in a cosy and confortable way. There are 4 bedrooms, each with own bathroom, a living room with fully equiped kitchen and a separate apartament with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and a balcony with stunning mountain view. On ground floor there is a traditional kitchen with dinning space. You can order breakfast and dinner paired with traditional drinks. Please prior communicate your choices. Extra fees apply for meals. The location is family friendly, it has a big front yard with barbecue and two kiosks. Two rivers cross the generous backyard, where children can have lots of fun.

Breath taking mountain views - the Carpathians with peak Negoiu. In a 3 hour walk you can be on Negoiu. You can just go hiking in the transylvanian woods, or go to Balea lake on Transfagarasan road. You can visit Sibiu - the old medieval town, Avrig - with its Brukenthal palace, shepard villages like Rasinari or saxon villages with fortified churches, like Viscri and other authentic villages that are so appreciated by prince Charles.
