Interaction with Guests
I usually welcome you with a glass of wine and give you a quick tour of the place. When I am home, I normally cook breakfast and share it with you. My house is not big but I try to provide as much privacy as possible.
A friendly, quiet neighborhood. We don't have sidewalks or street lights. We don't even have a postman.

Yan is an excellent host who made us feel part of his home. Every morning, he would prepare gourmet breakfasts, and had excellent recommendations for restaurants, wineries and hikes. The room is good and has all the amenities one wishes for.
2nd time staying here and Yan was once again a wonderful host. Very accomdating in terms of arrival time. We were greeted with good wine, cheese and crackers. Yan's breakfast frittata was delicious. Yan's home is beautiful, the bed is very comfortable, and despite being a small home; privacy is never an issue. Yan is a great conversationalist and we enjoyed sipping wine and swapping travel stories with him.
10/10 would stay with Yan again.
What can I say that hasn't already be said? This was my best AirBnB experience by far. Yan's house and surrounding property is gorgeous. The neighborhood is filled with wineries/vineyards and close to everything else you'd need. It really doesn't get any better than this.
When we walked in the door we felt immediately at home. Yan has done a great job of enhancing the already homey atmosphere with some beautiful contemporary art that adorns the walls. Believe it or not, it was chilly in the morning and near 100 by noon so we appreciated the fireplace in the morning and the naturally coolness of the house in the afternoon. Yan cooked us a spectacular frittata for breakfast with a bowl of Greek yogurt topped with figs from his trees and a side of great tasting whole grain bread. The occasion for our stay in Kenwood was our daughter’s wedding. Yan was gracious to us and invited the groomsman to pass their waiting time in the spacious and comfortable back yard. Our photographer got some great shots of them in shade of the treed yard.
The first thing you might ask, "Were you comfortable?" Yes we were! That bed was more comfortable that ours at home. The bedding just enveloped you in soft cotton and pillows with just the right support for us. Off the bedroom you have your own patio for sun bathing or lounging, nice.
While the bathroom is next door and not on-suite, this is not problem, plenty of privacy.
Naturally, we recommend this property. A great host, location to the wine country, and as recommended by our host, have a meal in Kenwood at Cafe Citti, you will not be disappointed.
Our visit to Yan's beautifully appointed home can be summed up in two words: Five Star.
We were welcomed into Yan's beautiful home and invited to relax with a glass of wine on the patio's large comfortable sofa. Here we were able to get acquainted with our charming host.
Yan is very welcoming, accomodating and generous. We loved our bedroom complete with it's own private patio, library and exquisite bedding.
This would have been enough for a memorable trip to Sonoma however the 5 star treatment continued with a gourmet breakfast prepared by our host. Post breakfast a day of wine tasting began with another treat usually only found at 5 star hotels....a personally guided tour of The Landmark Vineyard a short drive from Yan's home. Color us spoiled! All good things must come to an end. But when it came time to say our goodbyes we felt like we were saying "see you next time" to a friend. Thank you Yan!
We were in Sonoma this past weekend for a wedding and Yan's place was in the perfect location for us. Our stay was nothing short of wonderful (even with the Earthquake in the middle of the night).
Yan's home is beautiful, clean and relaxing, with vineyards in every direction.
As a host Yan is what Airbnb is all about. He is a seasoned traveler and knows exactly how to accommodate his guests, on top of being able to give us great tips on where to go and what to do. He really goes above and beyond... from welcoming us with wine and cheese to the delightful breakfast he serves in the mornings. We had a fantasic experiance and would gladly stay there again and again with out question.
Yan's house was perfect for our stay in Sonoma Valley. It was very clean, comfortable and a great retreat to relax in the area. The location was great with excellent local vineyards and restaurants. He also made and shared a delicious homemade breakfast on both mornings we were there. This was very pleasant and great to get local recommendations on the area from him. We really felt at home here. A real treat from a lovely host!
