Craig's home was just gorgeous! My family and I came for graduation and he was so patient and communicative with us the entire weekend. Everything was clean and beautiful, and Craig was attentive the entire time. 12/10 definitely recommend, and I hope to have the chance to return!!

Highly recommend Craig’s property when visiting New Orleans! This is a large historic home, beautifully decorated, immaculate, and very well appointed. It is fenced and gated, in a lovely neighborhood. The pictures are accurate but still don't do it justice, looks larger and gorgeous in person. Craig is a gracious host, quickly responds to texts, and looked to make our stay comfortable and stress-free. There is a master suite with bath also accessible from hall, and 2 large bedrooms with a jack&jill bath on the main floor. Craig has thought of everything, from providing water and glasses bedside, to robes & slippers and a basket of items you may have forgotten available in the bathrooms. There is a large comfortable front porch with table & chairs. The gourmet kitchen is stocked with every pan, utensil, & dish you need to prepare & serve your own meals, or mix your own drinks. There is both a dining table in the large kitchen and a large dining room table in the dining room. And, there is a living room, sitting room, and library on the main floor, so plenty of room! The lower level includes a bedroom and 2 additional beds in more open areas, 2 full baths, another living room and a laundry room. This floor walks out to the beautiful pool area. We enjoyed the pool at various times during our stay, including having dinner at one of the 2 dining tables on the deck. We grilled out one night, great family evening relaxing in the quiet, private outdoor area. The gated driveway allowed for 2 vehicles, and there was parking on the street for our 3rd car. This house is close to everything. We walked to Freret St. for a couple of meals, found Tuesday night Trivia at Dat Dog (has vegetarian options), and a visit to Cure for cocktails. Getting to the French Quarter, Magazine St., NOLA Brewing, and Canal St for shopping were all fairly quick and easy. Airport was about 20 minutes during normal/light traffic, around 35-40 minutes if driving one direction during rush hour, which was coming from the airport in the morning, driving out to the airport in the late afternoon/evening. Some of our group has a wedding to attend in New Orleans later this year, and they have already decided they will look to book Craig’s house for this visit.

The home, location, pool, and host were better than described. Check in/out was fast and easy. Location was everything 2min to Magazine st and 5min to the French Quarter. The house, while hard to believe, is nicer in person than in the pictures. This house would be perfect for a group or family get together its warm but still large enough. We really enjoyed laying out in the sun during the day and swimming in the pool, beach towels were readily available.

We definitely recommend staying at Craig’s Compound. Craig is a great host and the house has so much charm, plus it’s huge! We were there for a birthday weekend and Jazz Fest so Craig had champagne waiting for us upon arrival. He also had everything for us to make a great bloody marry and a large water jug in the fridge. Craig was always quick to respond to text or phone calls. He also made sure to check with us before having Myra, the cleaning lady, come by to freshen up. You might want to be there though, Myra is hilarious and fiery like a Cajun spice. Lol The house as I mentioned is huge. Can sleep plenty…(Upstairs)1 Master bedroom/bath, 2 bedrooms with a shared bath, (Downstairs) 3 beds and 2 shared bathrooms. There are also 2 full size refrigerators, with one of them being downstairs and easily accessible from the patio and pool area. The location is great as well. We really didn’t get to scope out the immediate area too much as we were going to Jazz Fest and down to the French Quarter for some first-time goers and a Ghost tour. The really only detractor is the construction on Jefferson Ave which may cause you to take some back roads if driving. The good news is that the construction has no effect if you are walking since most of the places nearby to eat and drink were east of Jefferson, down Feret St. Also, the bedrooms are positioned on the back side of the house away from Jefferson so I personally didn’t hear any construction. In summary, the house and host made our trip very pleasant and we would recommend staying here.

Craig's house was ideal as our headquarters for our daughter's wedding. It was clean, convenient and comfortable, and the area around the pool was ideal for relaxing. The living room and dining room have excellent light, which was perfect for hair styling and makeup for the women in the bridal party. The kitchen is well equipped with everything a large family needs, and there was more than adequate seating for our family to gather. The bedrooms are large, the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms well furnished. Craig is a gracious host, communicates in a timely manner and met all of our needs as we planned our stay and after we moved in. He even offered ironing services for the ladies' wedding wardrobes. We highly recommend Craig and his AirBnB.
