The Space

Our place is located in the heart of Amsterdam's most popular and most comfortable neighborhood, the pijp, and you would get the entire place for yourself (105 m2). It is a well-designed apartment located close to the Museumplein (Van Gogh museum, Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum), the famous Leidseplein and very close to the Heinekenplein. The apartment is perfectly positioned between Amsterdam’s picturesque canal belt and the best bars and restaurants the city has to offer.

GOT A KID? We've got the place for you -- read on :

EVERYTHING IS HERE : Our ground-level apartment has most of the things you really want for your stay in Amsterdam :

high-speed WiFi internet,
2 museum passes
2 authentic Amsterdam city bicycle for your unlimited use
iPhone/MP3 stereo connections
Apple TV with the latest movies
a Nintendo WII (NTSC edition)
washing machine/dryer
cable TV
a Nespresso coffee machine
a large comfortable garden to eat meals outside or simply hang out in

FREE MUSEUMS AND NO WAIT : Aside from the low price (given the neighborhood) – I have 2 museum passes for you to use – this allows you to get in to just about all museums for free! For instance, if you go to the Rijksmuseum and the van Gogh museum with a friend, normally, that would cost you 60 Euros – with these passes, it would be free, and on top of that, you are allowed to skip the very long queue!

!!!Please be aware that if you like to skip the very long queue at The Anne Frank House as well you have to reserve online which costs you only 0,50 euro cent!!! Please go to their website to order online tickets and use the the option "Museum jaarkaart".

MODERN KITCHEN : The apartment features a very modern and complete kitchen with refrigerator, microwave/oven, dishwasher, grill and modern stovetop – it is a very comfortable kitchen to cook in. There is also a large supermarket very close by, and of course, the famous Albert Cuyp market is within 300 meters.

MASTER BEDROOM : The master bedroom is very spacious and the bed is extremely large (2.0m x 1.80m), soft and comfortable. The apartment is very well lit by natural light (especially in the mornings) and while smoking inside is not permitted, there is a garden, where you can go outside, hangout and enjoy the peaceful garden, and smoke whatever you like.

CHILD'S BEDROOM : We also have a smaller bedroom with two child’s bedsteads (one for a child up to the age of 2 and one for a child of age 2 till 7) and everything to take care of your baby including baby-chair and baby carriage . Also we have a separate playroom with lots of toys (up to 2 years old).

LUXURY! The bathroom is very large, with a shower and a small baby bath. Clean sheets and towels are all included, as well as universal electricity adapters for your appliances should you come from overseas. You will have a 2012 Amsterdam guidebook at your disposal and I will be able to help with suggestions depending on what you like – as I will personally greet you and make sure that you can stay in touch with me throughout your stay. My check in times are extremely flexible.

THE BEST NEIGHBORHOOD : De Pijp, known as Amsterdam's Quartier Latin, situated in the southern part of Amsterdam and a short tram ride (take tram 16, 24, or 25 from Dam Square) away from the bustle in the streets of central Amsterdam, is one of the most cosmopolitan and vibrant districts of Amsterdam. The inhabitants, the narrow streets, the many cafes and restaurants and the atmosphere of De Pijp are all reminiscent of the famous Parisian students' quarter. If this neighborhood appeals to you, and you want to stay in a modern but very comfortable apartment in the heart of the pijp, this is the place to stay for you!

PLEASE NOTE : If you need to check in to the apartment after 9PM, this is possible, but there is an additional cost of 25 Euros.

  • Fred's apartments are very comfortable, bright and large. Especially recommended to family with a child - there is a child's room with a toys and bed (not very small). Also there are master bedroom and large living room with sofa (fit for sleep).
The perl of this apartments is the garden. It's closed, cozy and beautiful.
Fred is a great host. He waited us till late evening, because our plane was late 3 hours. He recommended the taxi with picked up us from airport - it was very cheap. He answered any questions, but nobody disturbed us in our time in the apartments.
Museum's cards were a wonderful bonus.
    Thank you, Fred.

  • I booked this apartment for my parents, sister&husband and my 3- years old nephew for their stay in Amsterdam during New Year's Eve- and they had an absolutely great time! The contact with Fred, and his cousin Renee was quick, very friendly and reliable- Renee was available for all our questions and arranged everything perfectly. The place is in a wonderful, lively area of Amsterdam, with shops, restaurants and culture in a walking distance. All amenities in the apartment were very comfortable- and my nephew loved all the toys he could enjoy for a couple of days.
All together, I would absolutely recommend this apartment, and book it any time again.

  • Fred welcomed us at 11PM on a Friday night (after many other potential hosts in Amsterdam refused to do so) and was extremely helpful in giving us tips on the surroundings and the city in general. The apartment was great, clean and in a superb position (walking distance from Museumplein and Heinekenplein).
