Please read our overview for more details. We do not book anyone UNLESS you have your time of arrival and departures first. We have assistants that work full time jobs that help check in and out guests and need to make sure they are available.
You can sleep on the couch, but it does not pull out into a bed. It's big though and sheets will be provided as well. Dog not included :)
This is a Family neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and little boutiques close by. It is walking distance to Central Park and The Moma Museum. Second floor walk up; shares 2nd floor with only one other apt. This is a quiet building with friendly neighbors. The apt faces the street and has two huge windows that bring plenty of sunlight. One block away from the library, laundry mat, grocery store, cross town and uptown bus, duane reade (pharmecy) and post office. Nearest subway is the 6 train which is four blocks away. I have wireless in the apartment and many DVDs for the 37" TV. I do not have cable. For a long rental stay, that can be discussed. There is AC in the bedroom and living room. There is also a nice couch and room on the floor if anyone wanted to camp out. I have had up to 5 people staying my place at one time.
We are very flexible with your checkin and checkout dates but please give early notice of times so we can plan our schedules to make sure someone is there to check you in and out.
Please keep in mind that this is still my home and I am only looking for people who will keep my home in the condition it is given to you on arrival of your stay. IF FOR ANY REASON MY BELONGINGS ARE NOT RETURNED IN THE CONDITION YOU RECEIVED THEM, EX: STAINS ON SHEETS, MARKS ON COUCH/WALLS, TOWELS RUINED, ECT...YOU WILL NOT GET A FULL REFUND OF YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. I have had WONDERFUL subletters so far and hope to keep it that way.
Enjoy your visit to NYC!
Very family oriented. Very safe, quiet, lovely places to eat, post office around the corner, library across the street, many shops and boutiques....its really a LOVELY area to stay in while you are in Manhattan.
Very easy. You are one block away from the cross town bus and 4 avenues and one block from the 6 train.
No guests or parties. Please respect that this is still my home and my belongings.
My friend and I stayed at Katie's apartment for a few days over New Years and loved it. The place is beautifully decorated, has a lovely small kitchen, and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. One small complaint is that there was a lack of communication about our check-in time and it created a bit of confusion that led us having to wait to check in later than originally agreed upon. Overall though we recommend the apartment and would stay there again.
Katie & Mike's apartment was just as described. It was clean, cute, safe, comfortable, and convenient. Andrew was a welcoming host. The apartment is in a great location for visiting Manhattan. We would stay there again on our next trip to NYC.
Katie and Mike's assistant, Jayna, was very accommodating with our late check-in and our early check-out. She also gave us advice about the neighborhood and getting around Manhattan, which came in handy. The neighborhood was great. The apartment was exactly as described and as shown in the pictures. The trip turned out better than expected.
Booking with Katie and Mike was an organized and pleasant experience. They were fast to reply to questions via the AirBnB site and accommodating. Katie's assistant, Andrew, met us at the apartment for both check-in and check-out. He was very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, the apartment was very clean, welcoming, and accurate with the online listing. We felt safe in the apartment and in the surrounding neighborhood there are many nice restaurants, bars, and places to park nearby. The apartment was quiet at night and a restful place to stay during a visit to New York City.
Katie and Mike were super accommodating right from the start. We missed our flight to New York which meant the time we would arrive to meet the assistant had to change. They were so kind in altering the arrangements for our later arrival. We had the chance to meet both assistants, Jayna and Andrew. They were both incredibly kind and very helpful with any questions we had at the start and the end of our trip. Mike also checked in once we had arrived to make sure everything was fine. The apartment was perfect in terms of the space, it's features and the location. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Everything you might need from a laundromat to a grocery store to a bus or subway line is only a matter of blocks. We had an incredible time in New York and were very thankful for our lovely apartment during that stay.
Katie was quick to reply to my inquiry about her apartment and her assistant Jayna was helpful, hospitable and flexible. My flight arrived later than expected on Friday night and Jayna had no problem checking me in a bit later. She provided ample information about the area and the apartment as well. The apartment itself was perfect for my 8 day stay, which allowed me to feel like I lived in NYC, rather than being a tourist. It is conveniently located about a 5-10 minute walk from the metro, walking distance to Central Park and also has easy access to FDR drive, where there is a beautiful view of the city along the water with a running path. The bed was comfortable and there was ample space in the 1 br apartment...will definitely look at returning on my next visit to NYC!
