The space
Villa Clara is a rural tourism initiative that promotes the preservation of natural resources, organic production and the enhancement of community culture.

This eco-tourist complex consists of: a three-story Blue House, a Country House, a Red Cabin and a White Cabin, which are independent and rented separately. All areas of the garden are for common use: hammocks, hanging beds, 3 grills and an oven and its rustic dining room next to it.

Visitors, who love and respect nature, can rest and have fun swimming in the river, listening to its rumor all day, venturing through the community and mountains, fishing, visiting nearby communities and beaches or exchanging with its welcoming population.

It is located in a small rural community, Vallejito Abajo, safe and friendly, where everyone knows and takes care of each other and our visitors must collaborate to keep it quiet and free of contamination by garbage and noise.

It is a forested and protected area, since our Mahomita River feeds the hydroelectric dam, Higuey-Aguacate. Coffee, cocoa, fruit trees (avocados, bananas, guavas, citrus fruits, tamarinds ...) and food (bananas, yucca, yams, yautías ...) are grown here.

On the way, among beautiful landscapes of lush tropical vegetation, you can stop at Restaurant Aubergine. You can also enjoy the Higuey-Aguacate hydroelectric dam that is accessible by vehicle and fish for carp, trout, tilapia, and crayfish (jaibas).
