We are a couple and stayed here for a 3-day weekend.
Pros: Great location and Valentina was very helpful and accomodating and was there on time to receive us.
Cons: the apartment was very hot in the summer, with only a small window facing a dark courtyard and a bad ventilator. Wifi was so slow it was unusable.
Overall: the area is absolutely perfect, and if that's all you need then it's OK.
Valentina was very nice, and the apartment was clea and wonderfully located. as the other reviews have said, the apartment is small, but as long as you know that going in you will have no problems at all. Valentina was very accomodating with our check in/ check out times, we had a wonderful stay! =)
The reservation was canceled 19 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
As other people note, the location is just perfect. Easily walk to the Vatican or just downstairs are amazing restaurants and the heart of the old city. Lots of great night-life about 100 meters or so away. Also, some open space is just across the street on a busy fun bridge and former fort. That open space is precious! Basically - can't be more central to everything you'd want to do in Rome.
There are some caveats, though... We think it's smaller than advertised (who knows, but we though by quite a bit -give or take, if you include the shelves lol) - and the shower is super tiny - not built for larger bodies and certainly not two people. There IS plenty of hot water, though. Our issues were that the bathroom had a strong medicine smell that was hard to ignore, and things like the sponges were just filthy - who skimps on sponges? "The devil is in the details". Still, we made things work and had a great time - hey, why not? We just didn't hang out in studio much. I think we have just become a bit spoiled as we have gotten older!
Some more good stuff - the bed was comfy and CLEAN, and lots of hot water. Also, Valentina is a responsive person, and I admire her efforts - she brought us an extra key when we asked for it, and also when the power went out, she came and fixed the problem. And the price was workable for our budget, maybe we would pay more for a nicer place, in retrospect.
Anyway, I wanted to leave a fair review because people should know what they are getting.
First of all, the location was perfect,in a very charming part of Rome, close to all tourist attraction, but still very charming small streets with fantastic restaurants and little shops nearby.
The apartment was very small, as mentioned before perfect for 1 person or 2 people who don't mind the very limited space. Also the only window in the entire studio, is out to the courtyard, so it is a bit dark.
If you are planning on cooking yourself be aware there isn't much space in the kitchen corner.
Also there seemed to be a misunderstanding. I specifically booked this place as there was *wireless* listed in the accommodation. However there was none to be found. I tried to contact Valentina via text messages and phone calls but got no response whatsoever. This was a setback, as I need wireless for work, and had to linger around the local cafés in order to work.
Very cosy apartment in the heart of Rome. The location couldn't be better! Very nice and beautiful neighborhood just next to river and close to Plaza Navona. In general the apartment is in walking distance to almost everything! Valentina is a very sweet and helpful host and the apartment was clean and everything worked as it should. The apartment is a little dark and a bit small but perfect for one person or a couple.
Lovely small studio in a brilliant location in Rome. Everything was in easy walking distance with lots to do and see. Valentina kept in contact before we arrived and gave us some local advice when we met her. I would definitely stay here again!
