Light, space, design and location

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Rantzausgade, Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark 2200, Denmark

In the middle of Nørrebro, the creative and cultural melting pot of Copenhagen, you find this bright, spacious and trendy apartment. The decoration is personal and creative with a touch of minimalism that leaves room for guests to take a brake.

The Space

Bright and spacious apartment on central Nørrebro a 15 min walk from the city center.

The spacious living- and dining room has three big windows turning south which means light and sun all day long. The art on the walls and the very carefully chosen design furniture makes you feel the culture of Copenhagen inside the apartment as well as on the streets surrounding it.

I love cooking so the kitchen is well equipped with coffee grinder, mandolin, gas cooker etc.

A quiet, minimalist designed bedroom and a very comfy bed gives the best possible conditions for a good sleep.

The extra doubblematress can change dining room into extra bedroom for 2. And the two couches are comfortable beds as well.

The hallway/stairway is a bit dodgy, but the apartment is clean and cosy with scandinavian deco and design. Note: its on the 4th floor and theres no lift.

Location: 10 min from Nørreport, 5 min from Forum metro station. cafes and shops on the street. 15 min walking to Rådhuspladsen/central Cph. 2 min from Assistens churchyard/ park. 5 min to Jægersborggade. 5 min to Blågårdsgade.

Interaction with Guests

Before your stay I will send you my own personal recommendations for the neighborhood and Copenhagen in general including suggestions for alternative tourist attractions in CPH.
I will be in the apartment to welcome you and will be available on phone or mail during your whole stay.

The Neighborhood

Nørrebro is Copenhagen’s multicultural melting pot. Here you have kebab shops next door to designer shops and coffee shops, and this part of town attracts a lot of immigrants and students.
The neighbourhood stretches out from the Assistens Kirkegård, the churchyard, where many famous Danes are buried. The churchyard also acts as a calm, lush breathing space in the middle of the city, and many locals go there to sunbathe, relax and have picnics by the old headstones.

One of Copenhagen’s by far most creative streets is located in Nørrebro 5 minutes away from the apartment on Rantzausgade. Jægersborggade has everything from luxurious vintage clothing in Mélange De Luxe to the wafer-thin, hand-made ceramic design in Inge Vincents’ workshop and gallery. Jægerborggade, that used to be a rough, socially burdened street, is well on its way to becoming Nørrebro’s centre for exciting little shops and high-quality cuisine.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Excellent location, lively neighborhood. Two supermarkets down stairs, one open till 12 pm. Excellent baker/restaurant at far end of the street (one menu/day). Close to the centre. Bike rentals galore. And perhaps the most beautiful park one block away: Assistents. At other side of Jagtvej, parking is free. 7min walk.
A few things in the appartment might be sorted - and it could do with a thorough clean. But it is nice and roomy, a pleasure to stay - and climbing the stairs keep one healthy.

  • We stayed at Bittens Apartment for 6 nights and had a wonderful time.
Bitten is very friendly, relaxed and uncomplicated person and an awesome host. The apartment is stylish and cosy - we felt like home.
The apartment is located in a nice neighborhood and close to shops, bars and the metro.

Thanks a lot for that great experience.

  • Bittens place is indeed very creative and cosy! We felt at home at once, the door on the street seems a bit dodgy, but when you get in to the appartment you will get a completly different feeling. It is full of really nice lamps, I wished they were mine, and I got really inspirated by her home decoration.
Bitten also gave us many good tips to what to do when in Copenhagen, and we did not feel like complete tourists when we biked around. I recommend Bittens place for those who want to discover Copenhagen the real way.

  • Bitten's flat was really great! Roomy, good light, fantastic decor. I felt right at home. Super convenient to places to get groceries and some great bakeries. I was a woman traveling alone and felt perfectly safe walking around the neighborhood/in the building. Bitten was a great host and helped me find a place to rent a bike. Would definitely stay there again if I come back to Copenhagen.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bitten's apartment. Great sense of style and felt instantly at home. Bitten ensured my friends and I were more than adequately accommodated. The apartment is very close to the metro and Bitten is a warm, helpful, and very friendly host. Thank you!

  • We had a very nice stay in the home of Bitten. You can see, that she created the apartment with love and a lot of typical Copenhagen art and style.
She gave us a list of her favorite places. Even she was not in the city at the time, we had the feeling, that she took care and answered every time.
    Thank you so much!

  • We had such a great time staying in Bitten's apartment. It's spacious and really beautifully furnished, with a great kitchen and a comfy bed. The area is brilliant - 5 mins from the best coffee and pastry you'll find in Copenhagen, and lots of cool little streets and parks to explore. The street itself is lovely with great light in the mornings. Walking distance to the more central areas, too (and to Vesterbro and Frederiksberg)! Bitten was away while we were there, but collecting the keys couldn't have been easier, and her friend had cleaned and left fresh towels and flowers for us. We had such a lovely time - thank you so much, Bitten!

  • We had a really great time in copenhagen and staying in Bittens apartment really added to the experience. There was lots of room for us to relax in and the kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals in the evening, and it had a dishwasher which was a.bonus! The bedding arrangements were a bit tricky, the bed in the bedroom was the only option for us as the sofas were not very comfortable and were in the living room which has no curtains which would make it impossible to sleep in in this country in summer. It would be have been nice to have a shower that wasn't hand held, and a bit more information regarding the washing machine-that didn't work, and more information about the technicalities of the wifi. Overall though the apt was in a great location, easy walking distance to some great cafe and shops. Bitten was very helpful and would always reply to our messages asking for help! Great for a couple but maybe a little tricky for two friends who dont want to share a bed!

I like traveling and I love my apartment which I rent out when I am traveling myself. I am pretty easygoing which reflects in my home. Its not fancy and shiny, but I have put some effort into creating a cosy, creative and personal home. I like the idea of others using my home when I´m not around and I certainly prefer to stay in someones home rather than a boring hotel room when I am traveling. I also like: Good coffee, Jonathan Safran Foer and Franzen, art that makes me wonder, bridges, words, The Wire, Six Feet Under, Seoul, Maputo, music festivals, red wine, scandinavian design, swimming in the canals/ the ocean and much more.
