Paul's flat was as he described it. Very comfortable and in a great central location for visiting the sights of London. We spent a week there and enjoyed our stay. Paul meet us and gave us some good info on how to get around and local places to eat and visit. Would certainly stay again.
The room is very clean and location is nice.(in front of king's man pub)
I'm sire that this room makes you very lovely journey in London.
We stayed at Paul's flat for six days. When we arrived a really kind friend of Paul, Warren, welcomed us and explained all the things that we had to know about the apartment. After that he gave us some advices on what to do and what to see.
The flat is in a really good position near to many bus stops, to the Kennigton tube station (reachable with a walk of only ten minutes), to a good supermarket and to a pretty cool pub.
The apartment is confortable to spend a week, it has all the neccesary things but, in our opinion, it is not so clean and it needs more maintenace; probably we were unlucky but when we arrived we found the two big windows of the living room open and it was impossible to close them beacause they were broken. Fortunately, Warren, came as soon as it was possible to help us. On one of the last days the lift was out of order and we had to reach the seventh floor using the stairs, the next day we found it repaired. Anyway Paul was really good in communication and it was very easy to contact him.
Paul was a very considerate host, meeting us at the metro station to guide us back to his place which was several confusing blocks away. His apartment is everything as it's described. Very clean and roomy enough for a short stay with pretty much all conveniences. The best part about it was it's convenience! Literally a short 10 minute walk to the Thames and maybe 20 to Big Ben and even shorter to the bus and Underground. And yes, you can see Big Ben from the apartment window! The Black Prince Pub is about 20 steps from the apartment and a grocery store almost as close. There are other pubs and restaurants just around the block from there. All in all a very lovely stay and highly recommended!
My daughter and I had a terrific time staying in Paul’s flat for a week in July. We really felt at home.
The flat is clean, fully equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay and located in a quiet and pleasant part of the city. The view out of the window is second to none, featuring a view to the Houses of Parliament and colourful sunsets.
The flat is conveniently located for all the main tourist attractions and access is easy from the neatest bus stop (5 minutes walk) or Kennington tube station (10 minutes walk).
There are lots of pubs and restaurants nearby, although we frequented the local supermarket more and cooked in the fully equipped kitchen in the flat most nights.
It is clear that Paul took care of the little things, which made us feel less like tourists and gave our whole London stay a local flavour.
I would not hesitate recommending this flat wholeheartedly to anyone considering a short stay in London.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Paul was amazing!! To give a backstory, the day that we arrived in London, the Underground workers were on strike, and so, the subway system was not running at all. This makes it very hard to get around the city, and it also makes the buses extremely overcrowded because people are now riding them instead of taking the subway. Adding to that, we had never been to London before and had absolutely no idea where to go! Paul had messaged me before I left and gave me a heads up, along with a detailed alternate plan of how to get to his place. Due to all the chaos caused by the strike, however, the plan didn't quite work, but I was able to message Paul and he walked us through it each step of the way. He finally met up with us and helped carry our luggage. In all, it took about 3 hours to get there!!
But again, Paul was amazing!!
Once we got to his place (which is really nice, too, and truly does have a great view of Big Ben), he even stayed with us and told us how to get around to the various things we had planned. He went the extra mile and we greatly appreciated it!! We can't wait to go back to London and stay at Paul's place again (only hopefully not on a day the Underground is striking) and go back to the Black Prince Pub right outside his flat!!!
My friend I (two girls in our early 30s) stayed at Paul's place in early July just after London experienced a heat wave, and just at the start of a big tube strike. It was our first visit to London and first Air B&B. Paul was super-helpful with directions to the place, accommodating with our seedier in checking in, and overall very communicative. On the eve of the tube strike Paul proactively reached out to alert us and offer alternative suggestions...knowing we needed to get to the train station. You can't beat the evening view of Big Ben at the end of a long day and hearing him chime! Just great!
