HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Paul was amazing!! To give a backstory, the day that we arrived in London, the Underground workers were on strike, and so, the subway system was not running at all. This makes it very hard to get around the city, and it also makes the buses extremely overcrowded because people are now riding them instead of taking the subway. Adding to that, we had never been to London before and had absolutely no idea where to go! Paul had messaged me before I left and gave me a heads up, along with a detailed alternate plan of how to get to his place. Due to all the chaos caused by the strike, however, the plan didn't quite work, but I was able to message Paul and he walked us through it each step of the way. He finally met up with us and helped carry our luggage. In all, it took about 3 hours to get there!!
But again, Paul was amazing!!
Once we got to his place (which is really nice, too, and truly does have a great view of Big Ben), he even stayed with us and told us how to get around to the various things we had planned. He went the extra mile and we greatly appreciated it!! We can't wait to go back to London and stay at Paul's place again (only hopefully not on a day the Underground is striking) and go back to the Black Prince Pub right outside his flat!!!
My friend I (two girls in our early 30s) stayed at Paul's place in early July just after London experienced a heat wave, and just at the start of a big tube strike. It was our first visit to London and first Air B&B. Paul was super-helpful with directions to the place, accommodating with our seedier in checking in, and overall very communicative. On the eve of the tube strike Paul proactively reached out to alert us and offer alternative suggestions...knowing we needed to get to the train station. You can't beat the evening view of Big Ben at the end of a long day and hearing him chime! Just great!
The Apartment is centrally located in a very nice and safe neighborhood. The bed in the bedroom is a little small for two People. We had a very warm and nice welcome and could Even leave the Apartment two Hours later than normal which was very convenient for us!
The flat is in a very convenient location with easy access to just about everything. Paul was very helpful with information prior to arrival as was Warren who greeted us and let us in to the flat and offered lots of tips on things to do. The weather was unseasonably warm for London during our stay, we had all the windows open but I would recommend a fan to provide air circulation to make for a more comfortable stay during the warmer months.
Everything went great with our staying at Paul's apartment. He was very nice and very efficient in answering and giving smart advice regarding London.
No need to repeat what all the reviews are saying, they are all true. Paul's place is very special, beyond all the things you need for a comfy stay, it has a great light, a nice collection of stones and crystals and a very interesting library.
Cool neighborhood, beautiful buildings, reasonably quiet, and nicely equipped with a Tesco Express, couple of pubs, 2-minute-walk bus stations and 5-minute-walk underground station.
We strongly recommend it to everybody who looks for a place for intelligent accommodation in central London.
This apartment provided us acceptable accommodations for our 3 night stay in London. It's located about a 20 minute walk from Westminster/Big Ben and 30-40 from some other attractions (Picadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace), and also just a short walk from the Kennington metro, which was very easy to use with the Oyster Card that Paul recommended. The apartment wasn't as clean as we would like, but it worked for us as a place to sleep after long days sightseeing.
Le logement de Paul était conforme à la description. Nous n'avons pas eu le plaisir de voir Paul mais il avait laissé toutes instructions nécessaires pour la remise des clés et le fonctionnement de l'appartement.
