Close to Maastricht (Aachen, Liege and the towncenter of Heerlen). There you'll find our house with our lovely caravan (a real Constructam with everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay: big bed, sitting room and kitchen). Privacy guaranteed and much more than just a private room.
Train and busstation, citycenter and great scenery are on walking distance. Perfect location to discover the Euregion between Rhine and Meuse. On bike, foot, car or with public transport: we can help you to get around.
Our family (boy, girl, man and wife) likes to receive guests from all over the world. Language will not be a problem.
We want our guests to have a good stay here in this unique mixture of cultures: urban/rural, german/roman, Netherlands/German/Belgian.
Any questions or doubts: you can ask us everything about getting around, staying here and/or discovering mini-(website hidden): We do have pictures of our caravan (on request).
Not too much or complicated.
Anton is a really down to earth person, and was very helpful when i needed something (a rain jacket or backpack). The family is very warm, and it was really comfortable in the house around them. Really didn't feel like a b'n'b -- more like just visiting some friends. Thanks!
Me and my 15 year old son stayed several nights in the caravan of Anton and Kitty. We were warmly welcomed on arrival. We were helped when unpacking and got also help when putting our food in the fridge and freezer. The caravan was cosy and clean. We could ask at any moment for help. I loved the warm shower in the morning in the upstairs bathroom and the nice conversations with the children, and Anton and Kitty, in the evening in the living room. In the morning Anton was in the kitchen to help us out with breakfast. We could not spend much time together as my son went to Snowworld every day, but we are pretty sure we will meet Anton and Kitty soon again. At our place or at theirs. Thanks for opening your hearts, (house and caravan), to us.
I booked the caravan to get a good saturday night sleep the night before an early music event in Aachen on a sunday morning. the train tracks were closed for repairs and I was looking at an extra 45 minute ride. from Heerlen to Aachen (by car 15 minutes)
There house is a 20/25 minute walk from Heerlen station.
Anton, was very friendly in our emails and let me book even though they had pressing family matters elsewhere. Their son let me in and even though he was not the greatest at remembering to explain everything we got it organized. I got a bike and the keys and got to see the bathroom indoors.
It's like chique camping. They left a sort of glow lamp to see in the dark at night. if you needed to go to the bathroom. And Anton called me two or three times to remind me to ask if there was anything I needed or questions. I slept well and I met my host the next morning and I got in addition to a few coffees some breakfast broodjes and a nice (email hidden)D He went above and beyond the call of duty by offering to taxi me to my event. It felt like instant friends/ or family. Very nice host and very committed to giving you a good stay.
If you don't mind walking out and then indoors to use the bathroom and shower. It's fun. Thanks Anton. Hope to come back
The stay with Anton and his family was very pleasant. I arrived at 9.30 p.m. after a 10 hour drive and was welcomed with a glass of wine. It felt like coming to a family you knew and not to foreign people wich hadn´t seen you before. Anton was very caring and told me all about Herleen and Limburg. I really felt like would be a part of the family even though I only stayd there for one night.
Best start into my new life in the Netherlands!
anton and family (Kitty, wife, Gos and Rose, young fun kids) are first rate people and I love them--they opened their lives and house to me and i had a lot more than just a cool caravan--i had the full dutch experience and if i could give them 6 stars here i would.
the caravan was tres cool and the surrounding area very beautiful, and I have made new friends, what more can I ask for? they hosted me like a king and even took me around and did so much more than expected.
Our family is living in the deep south of the Netherlands. In fact between Germany and Belgium. In the middle of what will be the Cultural Capital of Europe (in 2018).
Close to everything you might need: nature, shopping facilities and everything a city can provide.
I like to travel (anywhere: India, Marocco, USA, Europe and close-by). By bike, car/caravan and on foot. Love Italian food but also a good Dutch potatoe. Like to listen to alternative music (from now and then). Books: Grunberg, AJFT, De Winter (Dutch writers) but also thrillers by British/American or Scandinavian writers.
Our family is very interested in people from all over the world. Hospital too. Check it out: that's our motto.
