Interaction with Guests
I normaly find people who stay with us want to get away from it all and have peace and quite, so i dont normaly interact with guests that much.
Trains are fairly good.
most importantly, shut all gates after you use them, the horses will be sure to find any open ones.
be aware this is a working farm and there are large animals, farm machinery and a huge river. use common sense and keep yourself safe.
also be aware the forest is full of deer, owls, squirrels etc do not atempt to touch them.
We were hosted as princesses...we loved this place so much that we already think of going back. Despite the paper plant background noise and some light smell in the mornings. Catherine and her family are absolutely nice and lovely persons we highly recommend. My daughter Eva got a special gift for her birthday before we left on monday...The place is simple but lovely and peaceful in the woods. Horses and animals on the farm are really nice too !
we highly recommend this place for people looking after a quiet and silence peaceful moment to go back to their roots and to who they are deeply inside : NATURE bodies !
If you are used to wear high heels and casual clothes, please leave them at home and choose boots and a pair of confortable jeans and sweaters to be outside.
Thanks for your kindness. Hope we stay in touch soon !
About the Host, Catherine
English family, living in france. i have 2 children, lots of horses, pigs, goats and my parents, living a big old french farmhouse on a 30 hectar stud farm. i am studying for my permaculture design course and we are applying the principles to the farm. We mix the french school system with Steiner waldorf for our childrens education. I love yoga, riding, running and swimming. We are lucky to have a swimming lake 5 mins up the road and we go there pretty much everyday its warm, but we can also swim in the vienne river at the edge of our farm. We all love to be outside but its nice to snuggle down to a film in the evening. We are friendly, happy family who love guests coming to stay and share our beautiful surroundings.
