The building is from 1964 but is located in the old part of Copenhagen very close to the royal palace, the water front with the Little Mermaid, museums, parks, shopping area, restaurants (Danish as well as ethnics - cheap as well as cuisine), cafees and fast food places. You will be within walking distance to almost all attractions.
There is a beautiful view to the Marble Church from the room.
There are two bus lines (1A and 26) less than 50 metres away. Less than 10 min walk to Østerport Train Station for traffic all over Denmark (including the Airport and Sweden) and also less than 10 min walk (few minutes with bus) to Kongens Nyttorv Metro station for the Airport.
The host - I am a pensioned social anthropologist who have been a (website hidden) host for several years and have hosted for free many guests from different nationalities and cultures who gave me a good time and many interesting conversations. Now my economy has become a little strained why I have started to practice paid bed and breakfast.
no smoking in the flat.
Kirsten is a wonderful host! Thank you so much for your nice and interesting company and your delicious breakfast!! I definetely can recomend her place. It is a very nice room with nice view in a nice quiet area, located absolutely perfect to discover wonderful Kopenhagen by feet. I wish to come back and I'll stay at Kirsten's place again!
Kirsten war uns eine ganz ganz liebe und ruhige Gastgeberin mit guten Tipps zur Stadt, in einer schönen Wohnung bei leckerem Frühstück mit Ausblick auf die riesige Kuppel der Marmorkirche! Toll! Das nächste Mal wieder!
The place is exactly as described. It is very well located; within walking distance from the all the main attractions. We didn't need to use the public transport at all. Well, only to go to the airport - the metro station that brings you there is very close too. The room is spaced with a lot of sunlight. I really felt like at home - cozy and warm. Kirsten is a very kind host. We arrived quite late and I really appreciate that she waited awake for us with no complaints at all. I am only sorry that didn't have enough time to have a proper conversation with her. Probably next time, as I am sure we would stay at the the same place - it is highly recommended!!
Me and my boyfriend stayed with Kirsten for two nights and had such a lovely time! The apartment is very central so it was easy to explore the city and get to and from the airport. Kirsten was a great host and the room was beautiful and clean. Thankyou Kirsten!
We had a great stay at Kirsten's appartment. She is a very kind person and the app is vey comfortable, a big doble bed, a small kitchen and bathroom. We recommend a lot!
Kirsten helped us and was available already in the planing stage. She answered our questions within a few minutes.
During our stay we learned a lot from Kirsten, who is an anthropologist, regarding the Denish people and the life in Copenhagen. She helped to plan the tours in the city, according to our request. In the first morning we asked and received a good and healthy breakfast
Wonderful experience at Kristen's home in Copenhagen. Kirsten is a very interesting and intelligent lady with whom one can have a good conversation. The place is very quiet and the view is breathtaking. Is located in a very central, convenient and historical area in the city. Lot's of supermarkets around the corner. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Kirsten was very welcoming and a perfect host.
I would definitely recommend this place and would love to go back.
I am fond of travelling to see and know other cultures and peoples and I like good conversations for mutual inspiration and new knowledge. I have worked - as an anthropologist doing research in Egypt for about 6 years and two years in Sudan for UN. I am interested in history, philosophy and religion and like to read - scientific as well as fiction and crime books. I am fond of kilims and have furnished my flat with them. My music interest covers foremost classical music but also folk music from around the world. I am divorced but in good contact with my exhusbond. We have a daughter and a grandson, three years old who means a lo to me.
