Karen's cottage was just lovely and very welcoming. We loved the breakfast she provided and the care she obviously took with all the details. It was a wonderful quiet getaway.
We felt very welcome and comfortable at the Dancing Ferns. Karen has done a fine job of making the space attractive, cozy, and personalized. It was everything we had hoped for, a real delight.
Wow! This place completely blew us away. After reading the many positive reviews and doing a lot of research, we chose to stay here. I booked the Dancing Ferns originally, but shortly after paying, Karen emailed me to say it was booked -- but a new cabin, Dancing Bamboo, was open. It was absolutely gorgeous!! Very polished, large windows looking into a lush garden, and an incredible bathroom with a rain shower and tiled floor (crazy to be gushing about the bathroom, but it was so spacious and luxurious). I highly recommend staying at either Dancing Ferns and Dancing Bamboo! Karen also stocks the kitchen with breakfast and all these snacks, which is so cute - fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, crackers, popcorn, etc. It's so cozy and we loved staying here. Would definitely stay again if we return to Volcano!
We loved staying here and were impressed with the quality off the accommodation. The bed was large and comfortable and the facilities were excellent. We also greatly appreciated the provided breakfast in the morning. Finally, the location was very convenient for visiting Volcano National Park and was not difficult to find with the provided directions. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again.
The place was prepared to make us feel welcome! The place was inviting with an extremely cute shabby-chic feel, it felt like a cozy cottage. The decor was beautiful, and the bathroom was spacious and modern. The fridge was stocked with a continental breakfast of assorted items, and there were even DVDs for our entertainment should we choose. There were even house-socks provided!
Staying at Karen's place was fantastic! It's a beautiful home extremely close to the Volcanoes National Park and is super well equipped. The apartment had three separate rooms - bedroom with a HUGE bed, dining table and TV, a room with kitchen equipment (fridge, little cooker, microwave, coffee maker and ALL the implements - even a can opener!) and the bathroom (great shower). The place was clean, beautifully decorated and fully stocked. When we arrived the fridge had some butter, milk, yoghurt and eggs and there was also a good collection of food on the shelves (cereal, peanut butter etc). This was great because Volcano is a sleepy town so not a lot was open when we arrived. Karen left instructions throughout the apartment and was there if we needed help. All together it was a great experience and I would recommend staying here to anyway. Thanks Karen!
Thanks so much, I do enjoy sharing my home with folks who enjoy the beauty of Volcano. Being in a remote area, our wireless does have its LIMITS...smile. We are just happy to have finally have it. Sorry, but I don't even know what (website hidden) is? Checking email and surfing the web is what is available. I guess I am accustomed to it. I love the rural atmosphere of Volcano. Thanks again! I hope you folks come back soon... Happy Travels!!
