Stay in one of the newest and nicest waterfront neighborhoods in downtown Vancouver - steps to the seawall, restaurants and shopping.

I am renting my spare bedroom to visitors who don't mind sharing my place (1050 sq ft). I am friendly and a good host and I'm more than happy to help you with travel tips during your stay in Vancouver.

You would have your own bedroom fitted with a queen bed and 500 thread count sheets, bathroom, and full use of the kitchen, living room, dining room, a 40" LED TV with HD channels and Blu-ray player!!!

As of Nov 2012, I've replaced all my appliances with brand new ones: a bottom mount fridge with french doors, super quiet LG dishwasher (48 db), Samsung washer and dryer with steam functions.

Wireless internet is included and so are free calls throughout North America.

You also have access to our lap pool, gym, squash court, theatre and billiards room inside our building.

For your information... I'm 38, male - a journalist and documentary producer who now works in the non-profit sector.

  • Charles has essentially been an Airbnb host since the birth of the platform, so he's a pro at making sure that guests feel at home and are taken care of. His home is lovely, overlooking the gorgeous waterfront with lots of natural light. Charles took me out to drinks at a bar with a spectacular panoramic view of Vancouver, and gave me many recommendations on restaurants and sights to check out. Above all, Charles is a fascinating guy that I thoroughly chatting with and getting to know. I'd highly recommend this listing, and thank Charles for helping make my time in Vancouver such a wonderful experience!

  • Charles was a very friendly and accommodating host who did his best to ensure that my stay would be optimal. He timed the arrival of my flight with his own schedule so as to make sure that I would be able to enter the building with no issues. The building's location in Yaletown is central yet located on a quiet street which is but a few steps away from the bustling activity of Davie street.

The provided private bedroom and bathroom were clean and the view from the living room was superb. The shared kitchen, living room and small office were spacious, well-furnished and freely accessible. During my stay, Charles proved to be an invaluable resource for travel advice and was an interesting and knowledgeable person to converse with. I also greatly appreciated his flexibility in regard to check-in and check-out time.

  • Charles is a friendly and generous host, and his place is both comfortable and quiet. The condo is close to many stores and restaurants, and is just a short walk from downtown Vancouver. I enjoyed exploring the area - there is a watertaxi in a nearby park that takes you to Granville island and many other places around False Creek.

I enjoyed meeting Charles. He is very knowledgeable and was able to recommend some local vegetarian restaurants which I really enjoyed. I would happily book again!

  • Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Charles as he was traveling, but he left very clear and helpful instructions. And the apartment is just great, both in set-up and in location. Thanks, Charles!

  • Charles is a great host. He is very knowledgeable on what to see and do around Vancouver. His apartment is located in a rather quiet and nice area of downtown. It has a nice view of the water and is within walking distance to parks and some nice restaurants. We rented bikes from a nearby location, and rode the bikes along the seawall to Stanley park. The Granville Island is just across the water, we took the aquabus to go there from a nearby dock. I would recommend this place if you visit Vancouver.

  • We found Charles place to be exceptional. It was so clean and very well located. It was a short walk to the Sky train to take you the water front or to the airport. We had a pleasant and short walk to the Granville Island ferry. Charles is very polite and extremely helpful but also respects one's personal space. It is fine for a couple, excellent bed and ideal for a single person.
