Live like a local Los Angelino in an original Spanish Bungalow from 1934. Experience the thriving music, food and culture of South Los Angeles. Our home is in-between Hollywood, Downtown LA, Santa Monica/Venice and LAX, plus full of welcoming energy.
Welcome to the best hidden oasis in the central heart of Los Angeles!
We nicknamed our house "The Spanish Greens" for the lush garden and vibrant colors reminiscent of 1934 Spanish Revival bungalows. The unique character is in the home's original dark redwood floors, Spanish style archways, french doors melting the indoor atmosphere with the outdoors and original wood windows that capture plenty of daylight and cool breezes.
We are offering a modern, calming bedroom and private bathroom. The bedroom has a comfortable tempurpedic full size bed for one or two people. The large room is brightly decorated with abstract art and a wall of mirrors. The bedroom opens onto the relaxing garden and hammock in the backyard.
You have full access to the large modern chefs kitchen, WIFI internet, and free laundry and dryer. Make yourself at home in the colorful living room, among travel photos & available movies/TV shows on DVD. Or create an outdoor office by sitting on the patio to enjoy the warm LA weather. Or relax away the day in the hammock. If you come at the right time of year, you are welcome to pick the organic fruit or vegetables from the garden.
There is plenty of safe, free and convenient street parking directly in front of our house, if you have a car.

Shannon and MJ were absolutely wonderful hosts and made my first Airbnb experience an amazing one. My wife and I got along very well with them and it'd be hard to believe we were just strangers meeting for the first time from the internet. They were very warm and welcoming and had excellent suggestions for places to go and things to do. Even though my wife knew some already as she's from the LA area, a lot had changed over the past two years. My wife and I adored their cats and they definitely seemed to reciprocate. If I look to visit LA again I'd definitely be sure to check them out again.
Shannon and MJ are the nicest and most welcoming persons who really go the extra mile to make you feel at home. The room was perfect, full of storage space and the private bathroom was great.
One very nice advantage of this place is that it is very close to the Expo metro line and a park and ride parking lot, making it very convenient and a short commute to downtown LA.
We highly recommend this Airbnb.
Thanks a lot for advices on where to eat and what to do to discover Los Angeles. We had a wonderful time.
I had an authentically wonderful experience at Shannon and MJs place, in every regard. It was the perfect home-base during my trip; central to the places I needed to go. I can’t say enough good things about Shannon and MJ. Even though we were all running in different directions during the two days I was there, we had some great opportunities to chat and connect. They were both friendly and upbeat, centered and considerate, vibrant and just all-around awesome. I really hope I have the opportunity to stay there again in the future.
We had a very pleasant stay at Shannons Air B&B. Both, Shannon and MJ are very nice and polite. They helped us with every question and always came up with very good suggestions in where to go and where to eat. They had been very nice to out two year old.
We really enjoyed staying at their house and would always come back.
We stayed at the Hidden Oasis for two days.
Staying with Shannon and MJ was the perfect situation for being new to LA. They are both truly amazing women!! Their house is lovely and welcoming, and the kitties are adorable. I will forever be grateful for Shannon and MJ's hospitality but also endless generosity and help. From helping me pick a good neighborhood to live in LA, to advice about restaurants, shopping, etc, to giving me a hug when I had a bad day. I just needed a place to live for a few weeks and end up with two fantastic friends.
If you are visiting or moving to LA, look no further.
Centrally located. Beautiful house. Better people.

Shannon & MJ were super nice hosts. We felt totally comfortable at their place. The room and our own bathroom were very clean, nicely arranged and the breakfast included everything we needed. They helped us making plans to discover LA and were always helpful in every way. We can definitely recommend staying at their place.
