The space
Your room is one of two in the guest wing of the 4-bedroom house. While I live in the house full-time, your room is only used by guests. There's a very comfortable firm latex queen mattress with all organic linens, a desk and chair in front of the window, and an array of books on my favorite topics on the bookshelf. The property is in the early stages of building out a permaculture homestead, so there’s always a project going on. You might see me gardening, building, or simply enjoying the outdoors, and you’re welcome to join or ask questions. I can also provide you space for solitude/privacy, just let me know :)

Where you’ll be

Chapel Hill, , North Carolina, United States

We're in a rural farming area called White Cross just 15 minutes outside Chapel Hill & Carrboro and 10 minutes from the center of Saxapahaw, a super cute country town. The Haw River, trails, and all sorts of farms (horse, dairy, chickens, vegetable, etc.) surround us.
***NOTE: Cellular connection can be hit or miss depending on your provider. Verizon works great out here. AT&T & T-mobile can be spotty and undependable, but if you walk around outside you can usually connect at some point.
***Follow-up note to that: There is only internet through a Verizon hotspot which is a pay-per-GB plan so no Netflix/YouTube binge-watching here. Get into nature instead!

I've been a host on Airbnb since 2011 and love welcoming guests into my home. I also worked at Airbnb from 2011-2017, so I'm happy to answer any questions you have!

Before moving to rural Chapel Hill, I lived in Raleigh for 20 yrs and San Francisco for 7 years where I developed an appreciation for natural living.

I love to cook, hike & spend time in nature, and learn about other peoples lives!
