Well I will start with good things: all three guest rooms are situated on 2nd floor and have shared kitchen. Basically you are on your own and have privacy. Room is ok, small but convenient. WiFi is working fine. You can lock your room - it’s good. Masud is polite and nice person. Now about bad things. Lack of cleanness and hygiene. The place is dirty. When I came it seems that last vacuum cleaning was year ago. 2 cats are there and all carpets were in their fur. After 20 days Masud finally did a vacuum cleaning, it started to look almost ok. Bathroom is almost all right instead of tons of a black mould on the ceiling. It is dangerous for health. Now kitchen. Lots of roaches (I mean Lots), dirty, bread crumbs and dirt all over the floor. Again - no cleaning schedule or rules. Not a pleasant place to spend time and cook at all. Uncomfortable. One of two cats used to walk and seat on the dining table, leaving dirty traces because cats also spend time outside (sorry cats I really liked you). From the window you have a view on a backyard - depressive debris. Only one cooking pot for 3 rooms. Someone forgot to clean - problem for you. No detergent provided when finished (guests are expected to buy it themselves I suppose). Bathroom was cleaned by one of the guests, once Masud did it.
Masud is a wonderful host. He was very professional, friendly and flexible. The description of the place was accurate. The place looks exactly like what I saw in the pictures. The room has full privacy. Masud let me self check in which was very helpful. The place is close to the subway station J line and there are plenty of places to eat and shop in the Jamaica Ave. This place is a great deal for the price especially if you are looking for a place to crash at night. I was very happy staying at this place and will check out for sure when I visit Brooklyn again. Thank you very much, Masud!
I spend one week in Masuds place. Masud is very nice and helpful guy and he is ready to help you I case of having any problem. He answers emails promptly!
The room is also nice located in second floor where there are also two other room for the gusts.
The only problem for me was cats at this place. They are sleeping on the food table so the table was not clean to eat there! Specially if you have a allergy then it would be hard to stay with cats!
The price is really reasonable for city like New York!
Very honest description of the room. What you see is what you get: some personal space, storage, house facilities, wi-fi and a big, comfortable bed. This is not the best neighborhood I've been in around Brooklyn, so keep that in mind. The house itself is very clean but also old - and showing.
Masud was very versatile with check-in times, which is great, and kept to himself the rest of the time, which works very well for independent guests - no doubt he'd have been there if contacted, though.
All in all, a very decent stay for a good price, but you do actually have to be a versatile guest yourself, otherwise you might want to look for something a bit fancier.
Masud is a friendly and flexible host. His two-storey house is nice and the room as described. First floor including a kitchen and bathroom shared among 3 rooms for shorter or longer stays. Easily accessible from JFK on the E and J trains. Commute to the city a bit far though, and remember to get off at Cypress Hill (J) not the Euclid (E) stop
Masud and his brother are extremely kind and helpful in every way possible. They are a quick walk from the train (although it is a long train ride into the city). The neighborhood is vibrant and colorful. My room was small, clean, acceptable in every way possible. A good budget stay. However, the kitchen and bathroom were quite dirty to the point where I didn't want to use the facilities.
The room is cozy, located in a quiet neighborhood. I was able to get very good rest for the 3 days that I stayed at masud's place.
Masud is a kind and acommodating host. He stayed up past midnight on the day I arrived from the airport, and graciously welcomed me. Otherwise, I would probably have to spend the night at the airport.
The place is also very near to the subway. Manhattan is only about 40min away.
Overall, pleasant experience. Thanks Masud.
