About this listing
Sorry, no longer bookings possible. We have invited a very nice asylum seeker to our guest room for as long as he needs it. For single nights, he will sleep elsewhere or on the couch and we'll share the earnings. :-) Room will be cleaned of course!
Guests share the entrance with us, but have their own, private area: bright bedroom with a floor-to-ceiling panorama window, a (small) kitchen, shower/wc and terrace. Available in the kitchen: small stove, toaster, plates, spices, coffee, tea, cereals etc. There is a small fridge, so you can buy and store your own food. If you want us to provide you with something for breakfast (e.g. if you arrive late), ask us.
Please note: the bed size is 120x 200 cm, so that might be recommendable for couples only. One person can sleep on an air bed (also 120 cm) or a folding mattress on the floor. But the room is quite full, then.
Internet and WiFi access are included at no extra cost (fair use, please!).
Parking space in front of our house (safe and free).
Interaction with Guests
We're happy to provide guests with info material and maps. Occasionally (if time allows), we might come along for a walk or socialize - but only if guests want.
We live in a small mountain village in the beautiful "Bregenzerwald" area, close to Switzerland, Germany and Liechtenstein, surrounded by the Alps and 17 km from Lake Constance.
Supermarkets, a bakery, a drug store, a sport shop and restaurants are only a few metres away.
There's a bus stop near our house.
By car, you need 12 minutes from the highway exit "Dornbirn Nord".
No smoking inside please.
Please take off outdoor shoes inside.
About the Host, Renee & Paul
Renee (originally from the Netherlands) is a translator/revisor for English, German and Dutch and Paul is a teacher. Our hobbies are travelling, theatre, reading and going outdoors.
Renee's two grown-up sons don't live at home anymore.
We are trying to live quite eco-friendly, e.g. by avoiding to use the car as much as possible, saving energy and resources... so we would probably have some difficulty with extremely wasteful people. Other than that, we love to meet people and make their stay a pleasant one!
