We are located around the corner from the square in downtown San Jose del Cabo! In the historical art district ! About a 15 minute walk to the beach . 15 minutes from Los Cabos airport. 5 minutes to the road to East Cape.
Posada Senor Manana occupies a unique slot in the Los Cabos area, detached from the main stream yet centrally located. This gives the traveler the option to sample at will and create their own experience.
Solo travelers, groups, families, surfers and business people all find themselves at home here. We’re one way to let you in and show you the unique character that makes this place shine without busting your wallet.
In each directions there are breathtaking beaches. The mystical Sierra Las Laugnas Mountains, full of trails, back roads, ranchos, wildlife, hot springs, crystal-clear fresh water pools and waterfalls are out the back door.
December to late March, from almost anywhere on the beach you can spot a whale or two. If you fish, you are indeed in heaven. The Sea of Cortez is rich with marine life.
The San Jose Estuary is home to many species of birds. Over 250 varities are seen here! This body of fresh water is the last fueling stop on the long migration route that many birds must travel.

San José's downtown is lovely, with adobe houses and jacaranda trees..behind San Jose del Cabo's historic main square and church lies the ever-growing Art District, which in recent years has become the cultural center of Los Cabos with many high-end fine art galleries displaying original paintings, sculpture, photography, prints and jewelry by local, national and international contemporary artists. Among these art galleries are shops housing the works by the top folk artists and artisans of Cabo & Mexico. Along with an abundance of galleries, the Art District is home to some of the area’s top restaurants.
ART WALK IN SAN JOSE...is a popular weekly event. Every Thursday evening between the months of November and June, the galleries welcome guests to enjoy an evening strolling the neighborhood, viewing art, sipping wine and dining at the fabulous neighborhood restaurants. All who participate are open from 5pm-9pm and often certain galleries will have special events such as "artist in attendance" or openings of new work. It is a great night to come downtown and enjoy what our district has to offer.
Even solo female travelers can travel relatively safely by taking advantage of Mexico's public transportation. There are local buses that run from San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas daily and although they lack a rigid schedule, the buses run at about 20 minute intervals. For $27 pesoes ($2.70 USD) for a one-way trip per person (compared to the $10+/person/ride quoted by the taxi drivers), taking the bus in Mexico makes for a very affordable, week-long transportation alternative to get from one town to the other. As long as you confirm with the driver when the bus service ends each day, and you carry your hotel's business card for reference, getting around is easy!
Los Cabos area is a very safe place, so there is no curfew. You will have a key from the gate as well from your room. The simple common sense for a international traveller. Respect, behave, share.
We stayed one night before driving up to La Paz. The hotel was easy to find and there was lots of available parking on the street. The hostess Cynthia greeted us on arrival when we rang the bell at the gate. She remained available but left us to ourselves once we had our room. She also recommended some restaurant choices, one of which we tried and it was quite good. The hotel itself was quiet with no sign of other guests. The street next to it, not so much. Lots of traffic noise through out the night unfortunately. Wifi was provided for free, but no TV, coffee maker, bottled water, or other amenities in the room. We wanted to hit the road early and could not find anywhere open to get a cup of coffee, so that would be a good addition to the room. If you are looking for luxury this may not be your place but the sheets and towels were clean and it felt safe. I would recommend to people looking for short term no-frills stays.
Señor Mañana is conveniently located within walking distance of San Jose's centro area (the town square and main shopping and eating district) and is super eclectic and comfortable. Check in is easy at any time of the day and they were very patient and attentive despite my lack of communication and lateness (another story entirely). I would stay here again.
My stay at Señor Mañana was a great experience! Hernan and Cynthia are doing a great job recovering from September hurricane - the place is neat and looked after. I liked hanging out in the shady patio with a book and Alex the Dog. I soon felt very much at home and had an excellent chance to enjoy local celebration of the patron saint in the main square within 1 minute walking from Señor Mañana. Muchas gracias !!
Amazing place. Quaint, friendly, soothing atmosphere.... sit outside yir room in the shaded patio with other guests..... one block to the town square, clean rooms and the coolest dig EVER!
Hernan and Cinthya were great hosts. They offered us tea, coffee and even a ride to the bus stop. The location of Hotel Posada is ideal in relation to Old Town being 1 block away. It's tucked away on a side street, which was a little tricky to find by walking with no GPS. And as other reviewers have mentioned it is right next to the highway which can get very loud.
Had a nice time staying here, Hernan was very helpful with assisting me with finding places to eat, using the busses, and sorting out scuba diving.
Hope to see you again soon Hernan!

Im originally from Argentina and my wife from Mexico city, after many years traveling around the world separately and together , we decided to settle down in San Jose del Cabo, were we have a place as always wanted. Our goal is to provide a confortable and safe, down to earth place for travelers. We cater to those who still enjoy making choices of their own.
We love arts, music and gardening so you will find that in our place too, lots of fresh fruits and veggies from our trees and plants. We will always be ready for helping or giving advice about Baja to our guests.
