  • It's always great to stay with Craig and Meggie and I've done so many times now. There is a very zen like calm to the room and it's a welcoming place to be when on the road.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the process. Craig and Meggie were wonderful hosts. They were communicative throughout the process, always emailing back promptly. Craig was flexible with the check in process, especially after I had to alter my plans to arrive earlier. Throughout my stay, they were welcoming and friendly. The accommodations were exactly as described in the listing - airy and comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend it highly to others.

  • Great experience. Probably the best host in San Mateo.
Very quick response, clear directions, help with everything you need.

Location is perfect: 10 mins walk to Caltrain and restaurants.

We spent 10 days with Meggie and Craig and enjoyed it.

  • Super first experience of AirBnB. First off, great communication in the run up to the booking made getting there an easy experience. It's a quiet neighbourhood with good amenities / travel links. Craig and Meggie were great hosts making me feel very welcome. The room and bathroom were as described, they were both light and airy. Very comfy bed and excellent storage space. I was also able to borrow a bike to get around during my stay, a nice touch which made my week much easier.

Other reviews mention train noise but I honestly wasn't disturbed. The streets were quiet and I felt comfy walking there at night. Good restaurants locally and shopping if needed. I felt the listing was really honest about everything.

Overall a great stay. I'm looking to book later in the year when I'm back on business. No better endorsement than repeat business I guess.

  • Our Hosts were both friendly and unobtrusive. Since we were heading for dinner the first night, Craig walked us downtown and we got to see Meggie's workplace. She was very much in her element. Awesome! We would go back any time!

  • Craig and Meggie are a lovely, friendly couple. The room is as shown in the pictures plus now there is a desk. Pleasant accommodations: clean, light-filled, airy. A good value. Craig and Meggie will respect your need for quiet and privacy. If you are a light sleeper, do note that the train whistles can be heard in this neighborhood but they pretty much stop running between 10:30pm and around 6am. It was not an issue for me.

  • Our hosts, Craig and Meggie, were very friendly and easy to live with. I wasn't expecting so many steep stairs to our bedroom but the room was large and comfortable. The neighborhood was nice which helped me with having to park our rental car a block away most nights. It was so nice to have our "own" bathroom!

  • Fantastic place to stay!
The room is spacious with room for suitcases, bed comfortable with extra blankets in the closet if it's a bit crisp, small desk for working, super handy plug-ins next to the bed, private bathroom.
Their place is EASILY walkable to Burlingame or downtown San Mateo through a gorgeous residential neighbourhood.
Craig and Meggie are very friendly - gave us tips about the community, let us use the kitchen as needed, and were very accommodating to our many many questions and coming and going.
The only thing would be the CalTrain goes by nearby which takes a bit of getting used to, but with the fan on in the room, we had no troubles whatsoever. If you're used to an eerily silent sleep in the countryside though, it may be different for you!

I would 110% recommend staying with them!
