The Space

Your own private launch pad / crash pad in San Francisco!

You can't get more central than this - if you look at an online map of SF, the red dot falls basically on my roof!

I love my apartment and it's perfect for those who want to enjoy all of San Francisco during their stay.

The apartment is a one-bedroom with a terrific queen size bed and a kid bed. While it's adult in character, the apartment is child-friendly and features kid stuff in case you need it (booster, toys, books) - otherwise it's all discreetly tucked away in a closet. Good, well-stocked kitchen, nice clean bathroom, spacious living room with an awesome couch. Plenty of books and a collection of guides to the city and its restaurants, cafes etc. [Note: there is no TV in the apartment as I only use Netflix - but trust me, you won't need TV in this central SF location1]

You can walk anywhere from here, and you're in the middle of a bunch of bike paths. The muni, the bus, the Bart are all right here as well. Coffeeshops, great restaurants (both quick fixes and upscale) supermarkets, and all the mainstays of San Francisco living are at the doorstep. Cross streets are Market and Gough. Fairly easy street parking, especially on weekends.

i travel a lot and generally rent during my trips. I've enjoyed this place for over two years and it's been a delightful hub for anyone wanting to discover life in the city, or even just hang out here after a day of work or play. Free WIFI.

Happy travels!

    Response from Andrea:

The reservation was canceled the same day it was made, minimizing the
inconvenience to the guest. I accepted the reservation by mistake because
of a calendaring oversight that I noticed immediately after. I was in touch
with the guest throughout the process and he was okay with having it
    canceled

  • Andrea was very nice to communicate with–thorough and responsive. The apartment is in a totally awesome location far enough from the touristy downtown, 10 minutes from just about everything. You will get a little bit of noise from the street, but it's a small price to pay for being in the heart of the city.

  • We had a great stay at Andrea's. The location is spacious and we had everything we needed. The apartment is located next to the streetcar station, close to everything urban so we could easily blend in with the SF people. We liked to go to Mission District and Hayes Valley with lively pubs and eateries. Bike rental is around the corner.

  • Great place, loved the vibe of the apartment and very spacious! Location is great, extremely central to everything San Francisco. Trolly stop right in front of the house makes it easy to get to downtown and the convention center. I highly recommend taking the trolley or a taxi as the area between the apartment and downtown is the Tenderloin, a legendarily bad part of town with lots of homeless people. But the apartment itself is right between the Tenderloin and Hayes Valley, a beautiful neighborhood full of great restaurants, coffee shops, etc... Your also very close to the mission ( hipster central, tons of fun). I never felt unsafe on the block of the apartment, but only a few streets down it gets crazy, but that's the nature of San Francisco.

Extra sleeping supplies for other guests if you need it. The couch and bed are super comfy. Only drawback was some noise from the street (drunk people, traffic, construction, etc...). Obviously not much the owner can do about that, but just keep it in mind and maybe bring earplugs if your a light sleeper. It woke me up a few times, but my friend slept right through it.

  • The apartment was just perfect for us. It was close to an event we were attending. The kitchen had whatever we needed and we had a very nice stay.
