I raise my mimosa glass to Bob and Marcia!! CHEERS!! to new friends, a stay-cation, and to Bob and Marcia!! They provided excellent breakfasts, a masseuse that came to the house, and a cozy fire!! The hot tub was relaxing and clean and they even provided soft robes!! We would recommend their B&B to anyone!!
This was my second stay with Marcia and Bob, extraordinary hosts and wonderful people in every way. The hot tub is as heavenly as it looks in the photos. The location is unparalleled- woodsy and yet not far away from Portland, quiet and the comforts of technology with WiFi available everywhere- even out on a newly-completed wooden deck. The best part is chatting with Bob and Marcia. They are kind, well-traveled, interesting people brimming with ideas for themselves and wanting to learn about their guests. If I could, I would give them (and their tranquil respite home) 6 stars. <3
It was a great place. We had the downstair bedroom and bathroom to ourselves.
We used the kitchen to make dinner after a long day of skiing.
I look forward to staying here again next time I ski Mt. Hood.
This was a wonderful place to stay for the weekend my boyfriend and I were looking for a romantic getaway for the weekend and that’s what we got. The bed was really comfortable; warm the view in the morning was wonderful. The room that we had was downstairs so it was private. The location was great it wasn’t too far from Portland and the drive out was great. I suggest anyone looking to recharge for the weekend to stay here!!
My partner Evan and I had an ab,solutely delightful stay with Bob and Marcia. From our warm welcome to the perfect suggestion of where to go to dinner, to a 1:1 Pilates instruction (!!), we were treated like fond friends. Oh, and then there's the gorgeous hot tub, which we enjoyed twice. Their house is cozy and comfortable, and just down the road from an amazing view of the nearby mountains (Mt. Hood and Mt. Saint Helens). As pictured in the listing, there are chairs and two hammocks to relax in out in the yard, and plenty of wildlife to gaze at.
Marcia greeted us initially and showed us around, and even offered to switch out a bathrobe to a more masculine one if Evan wished it. She made sure we would be comfortable temperature-wise and offering space in the refrigerator if we'd brought anything.
In the morning we were treated to a scrumptious breakfast of home cooked oatmeal (with chocolate chips and slivered almonds to make it even more tasty!) and poached eggs that came from a neighbor's chickens. The coffee was also delicious, and the whole experience was rounded out by an engaging conversation with Bob. He led me in the Pilates mini-workout, a special treat for me as I've been a long-time Pilates enthusiast.
We checked out at 11:00 and left refreshed, relaxed, and still beaming from our thoroughly pleasurable stay. Marcia and Bob are gracious hosts and I felt privileged to be one of their first Airbnb guests.
I had an amazing time exploring Portland however I do have to mention that Marcia and Bob were the highlight of this trip. Their place is amazing, inspiring and it makes me wonder why it took me so long to go on this trip. Marcia and Bob's hints about the surrounding areas that were worth a visit were incredible and the experience of staying in the woods in such a comfortable setting is just five stars. We had a blast!
Loved our stay here. The place was clean and we had the downstairs of the house to ourselves. The hosts are wonderful. They offered us drinks and wonderful conversation and made us feel right at home. The hot tub was all to ourselves. It was so nice especially because it was enclosed to keep the steam and warm air inside. We slept like babies. We stayed way past check out time because we got along so well with Marcia and Bob. Looking forward to going back!
Cozy accommodations, and absolutely delightful hosts!!!
We would have stayed longer, but we had booked another place for the next night. Not only were we welcomed warmly by Marcia and Bob, but even the neighborhood pet (dog) "Timmy" greeted us as long lost friends....~!!!
They are the kind of people I would love to call "MY friends "
Thank you Bob, Marcia (and Timmy) II hope we will meet again
Seattle or Portland.

I cannot recommend this place enough! Not only is the house and spa beautiful, but the hosts are kind, generous, interesting and fun! I spent some of my stay exploring Portland only, returning to my cozy room, but I hung out with Bob on my last day, biking around the city. We had a blast, and I had a lovely meal with him and Marcia and a fun hot tub time that night as well. Their location is close enough to the city to get to enjoy all that it offers, but far enough out that it makes Mt. Hood more accessible. I will definitely stay with them the next time I'm in Portland.
Our stay with Bob and Marcia was a last minute decision, but we are so glad to have stayed at their house. The bedroom was clean and cozy and the company was very enjoyable. We spent the evening having a drink with the hosts and relaxing in the hot tub. Marcia even had a spinach omelet waiting for us the next morning. I would highly recommend these hosts!
