We had the most wonderful time at Michael and Lesley's property. The cottage is exactly as it appears in the listing, and has everything you could need. In the run up to our trip, Lesley was so helpful- responding very quickly to emails and offering us lots of useful advice from customs information to how to book an airport transfer.
The cottage is situated a very short walk from the supermarket, which makes it so easy to self cater. The most beautiful beaches are a pleasant 15-20 minute walk away, and the bus stop is very close by for longer trips. During our stay Michael and Lesley were most generous with their knowledge, and the information pack about activities in Bermuda is extensive. Michael even took us to the post office to buy bus tickets which was exceedingly kind.
We wouldn't hesitate to return to Michael and Lesley's cottage, it really was a perfect few days. Thanks again!
We have just spent a week in Michael and Lesley's 'Cottage'. We have enjoyed a fantastic experience this being our first Airbnb booking.
Communication was outstanding and prompt from first contact. There was an email welcome with lots of information and all questions were answered quickly and honestly We quickly began to trust them and our decision to stay with them was thereafter easy.
On arrival there are leaflets and guidebooks in the cottage and two huge files of information collated by Lesley that were invaluable to first time visitors.
We received a warm welcome from both who were always available to talk and for guidance without being intrusive. The accommodation is truly spacious and 'spotless'. It was fully equipped and not only were several sets of towels and good cotton linen provided but also 4 sets of beach towels.
The kitchen had a full sized fridge freezers and all appliances we needed. All detergents and washing liquids, sponges cloths and even waste bags were available as well as seasoning. There were fans in all rooms and the air conditioning worked whenever required.
We felt at all times safe and secure.
Whilst the 'growing' season was over some of the little home produced vegetables they had were shared with us and were the freshest and best we had.
The best beaches on the Island are within walking distance, about 20 minutes to Horseshoe beach and 30 minutes to our preference Warwick Long beach. There are Taxis available on Middle Road and the south beech road for about 10 dollars if you do not like to walk or are heavily loaded.
The 8 bus stops almost outside Grasmere Road and buses were our preferred means of travel to each end of the Island.
We enjoyed Hamilton and St Georges; Dockyard less so being very touristy.
There is a large supermarket The Market Place a very short walk away although we preferred the quality of Lindo's a bus ride away. Michael kindly drove us there the first time as well as taking us by car to the post office to buy our bus tickets.
Lesley finding we had left a wash load in the washing machine one afternoon took the trouble of hanging our clothes for drying folding and delivering them back to us, to our great surprise and gratitude.
Service well above the call of duty.
Michael and Lesley are warm caring hosts who understand travel and are dedicated to providing a superior homely service. We highly recommend them and their accommodation to anyone.
Thank you Michael and Lesley for making our stay so pleasant and enjoyable.
It was another incredible week at the Archer's. Lesley and Michael are wonderful hosts and take much pride in their roles. We truly feel at home here. This was our second year at the cottage and it will continue to be our go-to place on the island.
We had an amazing time. The description of the home was spot on. The home had everything you would need on a relaxing trip to Bermuda. The house was conveniently located on the island. They were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. The Archer's were there for us anytime we might have needed something, and they made our vacation stress free. We would with out hesitation stay here again.
The cottage couldn't have been lovelier. They have everything you need for cooking, dining and relaxing. There are robes, beach towels, a bath tub. There are little tables in the garden to enjoy your morning coffee. I don't think you could find a cleaner place on the island. We enjoyed their hospitality and their dog ,Annie.
Michael and Lesley stayed up late to give us a very warm welcome to Bermuda and the lovely cottage attached to the side of their home. The cottage was spotless and has ample space for 2 with a very comfortable cool bedroom where we slept so well. We didn't use the kitchen but it was extremely well equipped and the cottage was lovingly furnished with everything we might possibly need during our stay there including lots of helpful local and tourist information.
Warwick is a quiet parish and in the centre of the island, easy to access both East and West depending on what you want to do. Island Cuisine just around the corner is great for breakfast and has a friendly local atmosphere.
We didn't see Michael and Lesley during our stay but they were always next door if we needed anything and very helpful and welcoming from start to finish. We would not hesitate to return to the beautiful island and make the cottage our home again.
The week in Bermuda staying at Cozy & Comfortable Cottage was everything that I had hoped for. Michael and Lesley were gracious and welcoming hosts. From the first introduction, they were willing to help with the scooter rental, provided a thorough introduction to the unit and the neighbourhood as well as showing the in depth collection of brochures and contacts for local activities. I will be recommending this property to family and friends. Well Done! Jim O'Brien
