The Bird’s Eye View, located above Bolivar’s new cocktail and taco bar, is ready to host you! Situated atop El Albatross you’ll find your outdoor stairway and luscious front porch balcony. It will be easy to relax inside with our 2 private bedrooms, one full and one convenient half bath, eat-in-kitchen, and gorgeous, sunlit living room with a pull out Queen sofa. Chill, walk around and check out the small town, and let us know if we can point you in the direction of a good time!

The space
***********PLEASE NOTE: Our loft is located above our cocktail bar and taco joint. We have made every reasonable attempt to insulate the sound of the two spaces from each other by installing a drop ceiling and 6 inches of compressed, acoustical mineral wool insulation. It has made a dramatic difference. However, it is impossible to completely prevent all noise coming from business operations. We do have a protocol on the volume level that music is to be played when guests are staying overnight. Please message me BEFORE booking if you have further questions concerning the location or presence of ambient noise during your stay**************

Bedrooms both have TV & stand, and available space was focused on having larger beds rather than expansive floor plans. Additionally both bedrooms have both sheer and solid curtains.

The kitchen is equipped with a mini-fridge & freezer, air fryer, and drip coffee pot. It also has seating for 6 at a custom bar at a standard 42" height and an attached 1/2 bath with sliding barn door.

Full bathroom is detached from kitchen down a small hallway. It has its own sliding barn door and is attached to the Queen bedroom with its own door.

Guest access
Guests have access to all indoor areas and the balcony/landing outside the front door. Additionally there is a patio/seating area at the bottom of the steps that lead to the apartment.

Other things to note
Welcome to small town living with direct highway access to sites and attractions in all directions.

Welcome to Bolivar, Ohio! Situated one mile south of Stark County, it is the gateway to Tuscarawas County directly off of Interstate 77 along the Tuscarawas River. Our direct access makes it a perfect launch point to enjoy the small town feel while exploring all that the area has to offer.

Local attractions:

+ Southern most point of the famed Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, stretching all the way to Cleveland and the Cuyahoga Valley. Enjoy all the hiking, biking, and nature that the Trial has to offer!

+ 1/2 mile from the NTR Canoe Livery for all of your kayaking, tubing & river adventures

+ 3/4 mile from Wilkshire Golf Course and 4.5 miles from Zoar Golf Course, two long standing public tracks synonymous with the local community. There are in upwards of 10 public courses within a 25 minute drive.

+ 3/4 mile from Wilkshire Miniature Golf, an 18 hole putt putt course slated to open in June 2023.

+ 1/2 mile from Fort Laurens, an American Revolutionary War fort that conducts several re-enactments throughout the summer months.

+ 3 miles from Zoar, the historical community founded by German separatists in 1817. Today many festivals take place celebrating events of the past in the impeccably maintained village. Be sure to check out the luscious, manicured Zoar Garden.

+15 miles to the north you can enjoy Canton's Pro Football Hall of Fame! The HOF Village is ever expanding with dining, entertainment and a soon to be water park.

+ 20 miles to the south is Ohio Amish Country, resplendent with shopping, gifts, dining and wineries. Spend the day slowing down and enjoying a different pace of life.

+ Multiple dining options are within a moments walk of your stay. The loft/apartment is located above our newly opened El Albatross, an 18&OVER cocktail bar featuring street tacos. Two buildings away is Sublime Smoke, our first restaurant in the area. It features wood fired BBQ and 16 taps & 100 cans/bottles of craft beer with both indoor and outdoor dining on our lush covered patio. Being a small community, we are friends with many of our "competitors" in the area who each offer a unique experience different from ours. Directly across the street and out of the bay window is Canal Street Diner, an institution in Bolivar specializing in great breakfast fare and comfort food. Just down the street across from Sublime Smoke is the Towpath Tavern, featuring pub fare and a spacious outdoor patio which often features live music Thursday-Saturday. A short 2 minute drive under the highway and across the river takes you to Lockport Brewery. Our good friends make a wide selection of award winning beers in a beautiful taproom and outdoor beer garden. Adjacent to Lockport you can find Vaughns Pub, which has been going strong for over 20 years. Just look for the motorcycles and raucous music coming from their patio. Lastly if you want to stay out late, consider Kickin, an eclectic dance and pool hall.
