  • Josephine's B&B is adorable, spotless, and very well located. It is a true B&B with breakfast served and the room tidied throughout the day. The green room was actually quite large with a beautiful ceiling, large windows, and an in room A/C.

Warning for summer months - the A/C put up a valiant fight against very hot weather but still left the room a bit warm for my sleeping desires.

Josephine went out of her way to make suggestions for our stay, including a very memorable trip to a fantastic restaurant, Oliviera. Thank you, Josephine, for your hospitality.

  • My boyfriend and I loved staying in the green room at Chez Josephine. The room was large, with a beautiful ceiling, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Josephine was a fabulous host, and she never led us astray on recommendations, whether it was a particular walk to a stunning neighborhood, the best gelato place or a delicious dinner. Her breakfasts were great as well, with a nice selection of bread, croissants and yogurt.
I would not hesitate to recommend Chez Josephine, and I hope to be able to return.

  • Josephine was a wonderful host it was great to have an English translator for the short time we stayed there. The green room was huge and comfortable and the smell of hot croissants in the morning was great. Thanks also for the two tips on restaurants, 10 out of 10, great restaurants and thanks again for the stay, Gary

  • ChezJosephine is in a great location, close to the train station and only a 15 minute walk to the beach. Josephine is very helpful in providing suggestions of things to do and giving directions. Especially helpful for us since English is her first language. Breakfast is delicious, and her dog is adorable. Highly recomended for anyone traveling to Nice!

  • Josephine was a wonderful host. I arrived to Nice with a bad case of motion sickness and she showed me a great deal of hospitality, and even showed me a few backgammon strategies.

The place is very nice, clean, well kept, and most importantly in the summer heat, the AC worked great. Josephine also provides a very simple yet delicious breakfast.

    I would definitely recommend ChezJosephine.

  • It was very NICE there! Josephine is so charming and gentle, She have us Tips where to eat, where to go out and and and...

  • We really enjoyed our Nice experience. Josephine was a great host -- welcoming, friendly, helpful. She made wonderful croissants in the morning and allowed us to sample a variety of French breads. We also got to meet other travelers and learn a bit more about the city. The location of the B&B is great -- not too far from the old town, but not too rowdy at night. It's also easy to get to from the train station. We also enjoyed watching Rocco wave his tail at us every morning. Overall, it was a great stay in this sun-drenched city.

About
I am Scottish by birth and spent most of my working life in San Francisco as a wine steward/food server from (phone number hidden). I went back to Scotland to take care of my mother, & when she died I sold her house & eventually found myself in Nice. I took over my B&B in July 2010 & joined Airbnb in Nov. 2010. So far, so good : ) I am an avid reader, & if I can find someone to play with, a fiendish backgammon player. I love my little dog, Rocco. It's a pity he can't play backgammon. I am happy to advise my guests on what to see & do in & around Nice, or just leave them to their own devices, as they prefer. Life motto? Be here now.
