Charming 1920's bungalow - a true sanctuary. This is my personal residence. The house will be all yours when I am away. I have created a warm, inviting and serene environment here. You will feel it as soon as you enter the house.
Relax on the front porch or back deck; enjoy the heart mudra fountain in the living room. The bedroom is like being in a tree house -- with great sounds and sights of nature. Enjoy the art throughout the house.
My house is conveniently located in the heart of Asheville's favorite neighborhood, near Haywood Road in West Asheville. You are in walking distance to all the favorite restaurants, grocery stores, coffee and bakery shops, unique stores, yoga studios and music venues in West Asheville. Less than 5 minutes to downtown and the River Arts District. The Biltmore Estate is a little over 5 minutes away and the Blue Ridge Parkway is about 10 minutes away.
If you don't want to drive, the bus stop is very close to my house. Or, you can bike - the ride to downtown and the River Arts District is primarily flat. If you are feeling industrious, you can bike to Biltmore Village, Black Mountain, or even up the river toward Madison County.
Enjoy exploring our wonderful city and area. Come back from your adventures to the comfort of my treasured house. Fully equipped with everything, including central air conditioning and heat, ceiling fans, cable TV, DVD player, and WiFi internet.
My favorite organic free trade coffee beans, coffee grinder, espresso maker and an assortment of herbal teas will be waiting for you in the kitchen. You will find fresh milk and fruit, yogurt or cereal for you in a welcome basket in the refrigerator.
Staying here will be an experience you will not forget. Everything I do to get the house ready for your stay is centered on helping to create a relaxing and enjoyable experience with treasured memories for you.
I am available by phone and email. I also leave detailed information at my house.
West Asheville is consistently voted 'favorite neighborhood' each year. It is a very dynamic, friendly, creative, walkable community. Plenty of unique and interesting restaurants, music venues, art, yoga, groceries and retail.

Chloe was extremely good to communicate with us, and clearly had been very thoughtful in her planning for her guests. We had all the information we needed in advance. The house was exactly as described and depicted in the photos, and everything we needed was right there (towels, dishwasher soap, all that sort of thing--no running out constantly to the store!). The living room sitting area was a highlight--very comfortable for our working and reading. Everything worked well--the wifi, most importantly for us, worked flawlessly. The bed was comfortable, and the bedroom was large, light, and pleasant. And the location in West Asheville is really great. The house is on a flat street where it would be easy to walk up to Haywood Road where the grocery store and many eating establishments are (we didn't walk up there, but it would be easy to do). All in (email hidden)--well represented and perfect for our needs this trip. Thanks, Chloe!
Chloe was a very organized and thoughtful host! She even left us an anniversary card which I thought was so sweet. The house is in a fantastic location walking distance from some of the best restaurants in town. We had such a lovely time and would definitely stay here again.
Chloe (email hidden). Her instructions for the house anticipated all of our questions and we had everything we needed (and more!) to enjoy our stay. The organic coffee, yogurt and cereal was a treat. Asheville is a dream and Chloe's house (email hidden) to adventure from. We walked to restaurants, the grocery store, ice cream shop, music venues and more in her neighborhood. Downtown is a short bike ride away.
Our experience was very good. The house was very clean and nicely furnished and decorated. It has two bathrooms which is a luxurious touch. The shower in the bathroom attached to the bedroom is superb. The house is very well air conditioned, and heated, for whatever weather occurs. A nice stone fireplace with a gas fire element was welcome on a few chilly nigh It was near the River Art district in West Asheville which we wanted to visit, and also was only 20 minutes or so away from downtown Asheville. The surrounding area seemed safe and quiet, and contained suburban homes. Hayward Ave., half a block away, hosted a young, hip, urban arts scene, with bars with nighttime entertainment featuring local bands, a natural foods store, several music stores, some great restaurants, and a young savvy population. We as artists enjoyed being in that neighborhood. A supermarket and other shopping are nearby. Altogether being there was a very nice experience..
Thank you for your great review. Yes, Haywood Road in West Asheville has become quite the hot spot. It is a vibrant, creative community - I love it! I am not sure how it took you 20 minutes to get downtown. It is less than 3 miles from my home -- normally a 5 minute drive.
Wonderful little "cottage" bungalow. It is exactly like the pictures..... very quaint and comfortable. My sister and I wanted to stay longer because it is exactly the kind of little place we have always wanted to live in.
Close to some nice little restaurants. It seems like the town is trying to come back to life with some new places for dining and entertainment.
Nice and close, also, to the Biltmore which was our destination for the trip.
If we go back again.....we will definitely stay with Chloe.
I love that you wanted to stay longer because my house is "exactly the kind of little place you have wanted to live in." My goal when I bought and fixed up this house was that it would (email hidden) for all who come here. All the little details throughout the house, and everything I do to get ready for guests, is centered around making my house a welcome sanctuary. .
We loved the bungalow, it was truly charming, well equipped and Chloe (email hidden)e bungalow was very clean with lots of light, nice kitchen, great front porch, and an amazing backyard especially the deck and the daybed. It was conveniently located close to downtown via car (like a 5-7 minute drive) or bus. (It seemed too hilly to bike downtown, unless you are fit!) Chloe was super communicative and provided many amenities - many towels, clean sheets, robes, even yogurt, coffee, cereal & almond milk. We would definitely stay there again.
We absolutely loved our time in Chloe's cozy Asheville Bungalow! The house was such a peaceful, comfortable place to serve as our home-base and we loved it's convenient location within the West Asheville neighborhood.
Everything Chloe set up was impeccable. Her place is even better than pictured, you will enjoy your stay there.
I was so happy when you called me your first morning to tell me how much you liked my house -- especially pleased to hear you say that you have stayed at airbnb's all over the world, and that my bungalow was at the top of your list :-)
Thanks for the great reviews and comments. Please come back and visit again!
Chloe's house is a very appealing and comfortable place to stay. Lots of art and whimsical pieces throughout. Her thoughtfulness is evident form the breakfast food she leaves in the refrigerator, to the place settings on the dining room table, to the multiple night lights located throughout the house. Her detailed list of instructions and information made it easy to navigate and feel at home away from home.
The Sunny Point (email hidden) for breakfast or brunch is within blocks of the house, and a short ride by car to everything in downtown Asheville.
Chloe's home is in a neat little part of Asheville, and close to everything. We were very comfortable in her home. We enjoyed looking at her artwork and sitting on the back deck and front porch. She adds nice little touches that you wouldn't get from a hotel. I would love to stay here again, Thanks Chloe!
