Caution: you might want to move here...
We have 3 neighbors. Our closest neighbor, a builder, renovated an old "Hippie home" about 100 yards away beyond our birch trees.
Next, a tiny cabin, against our 11 acre property line, lives a young neighbor who raises chickens, and like most Vermonters, is willing to help when needed.
Last on our dirt road, are two energetic gals who have a goat farm, and amazing chèvre cheese. They welcome visitors, but please leave your dog home at Milagro if you visit.
Beyond the goat farm is a flat hiking trail that after 15 minutes goes into the border of our neighboring village of Dummerston.
Come see for yourselves...

Doug and Jessica,
We had an amazing time at your beautiful Vermont home. I wish we could've stayed longer. I keep thinking of the home every day and long for the many windows, wood stove and view. We were nervous about being able to navigate with the snow but the roads were plowed nicely making travel simple. The kitchen was perfectly supplied, I only wish we had more time to cook although our Vermont cheddar grilled cheese were pretty amazing. Hope to come back visit and use the hot tub this time around. The hammock in the snow was serene. Thank you again,
We had want for nothing. Thanks to Jessica and Doug's very thorough details about the house, their generosity in maintaining a fully functional/lived in space for those who rent it, openness to children, and for their communications and availability to ensure we had ample wood, their preparations to help if our car got stuck during a snow storm (it did and was no bigger at all), we had a fabulous week. The home truly is a gem, the surrounds peaceful and lovely, and our entire week there just perfect. We would love to return, again and again.
Doug and Jessica's house was great! It's in a super quiet, majestic, beautiful spot in the woods surrounded by birch trees. Inside was immaculately clean, and the rooms were welcoming and cozy. The hot tub and the wood stove were awesome pluses and the kitchen was great for doing a lot of cooking (which we did!). Though we didn't meet Jessica and Doug, they were communicative right up to our stay and were happy to answer our questions. We hope to be back and experience the house and surroundings in the three other seasons! Thank you!!!
Our stay at Milagros was lovely. The house is charming, clean and the hosts accessible for questions. Hot tub going when we arrived, but we did not use it.
Beautiful house with lots of character. Perfect space for our family's weekend away.
Everything was perfect! the house was amazing and so many detailed instructions and accomodations along the way to make everything so easy. Definitely a fun and unique place to hang out , highly recommended!
This is our second time at Milagro and we are hoping to make it a yearly tradition! Doug & Jessica are so hospitable, working with us to accommodate us even when we arrived unexpectedly early. They are extremely accessible and are so on top of things, texting us about what to do if the power goes out because a blizzard was upon us! They are so warm and we feel so fortunate they shared their amazing place with us. Doug & Jessica even gave us great tips for places to hike, bike, eat, and try out yoga classes! They know this area extremely well and are not only great hosts but incredible tour guides! Would highly recommend this place, can't speak enough about it!
