... And the evening, leaving the House you will have the unique feeling of entering in the history of the city getting to the alleys of San Lorenzo the most Roman neighborhoods, famous for the many features Roman trattoria where you can enjoy culinary delights, a true delight the palate.
How to reach the House
From Termini railway station:
From Fiumicino airport (FCO): take express to Termini train station Terravision
Very lovely apartment directly in the heart of San Lorenzo. There are a lot of nice bars and restaurants just in front of your doorstep. The studio itself has been amazingly renovated; even though Valentina kept the old charm of a typical Roman apartment it is yet very modern and comfortable. Valentina welcomed us warmly and provided us with helpful information about the city. We would absolutely recommend this apartment!
Close to the train station, big room, nice balcony, cool location for cheap food and nightlife, but a bit far from the main attractions (but you can still walk to them if you aren't afraid of a 45 minutes walk or there are trams, but we walked!). Check-in very easy and very quick response when we booked!
Great place, pros of the accommodation were:
-Location (walking distance from Termini with luggages)
-Quiet, even though a popular bar district is just nearby
-Clean, everything was clean and tidy
Only con I can say is that one half of the bed can be a little bit short for tall guests (I am about 190cm) but that is not a problem when you sleep on the other half.
I really enjoyed my stay in Velentina's room! It's a beautiful spot which a very charming Rome (San Lorenzo) atmosphere. The place was clean and I had everything I needed.
The flat is also perfectly located close to several bus stops and Termini station and to the San Lorenzo area. I had only some problems with check-in and keys… but I really recommend this place!
Many thanks to Valentina for her nice room that made my stay in Rome even nicer :). The room is quite elegant as in the pictures, there is everything you might need for a short stay: comfortable double bed with linen and towels, wardrobe to hide your luggage, shower&toilet with everything necessary and a nice terrace. Pity it is prohibited to use the kitchen, but I didn't even have time for that and San Lorenzo offers a great choise for dining. By the way, this is a very nice area to stay in for young people: a lot of evening life for locals and very safe at the same time. About 15-20 min on foot from Roma Termini which is also very convenient. Will be glad to come back here!
Authentic Italian flat, me and my wife really enjoyed it. Loved the way Valentina has combined the historical house with the modern elements. We also really liked the fact that the neighbours from the opposite flat were like 4m away from our balcony, it kind of gave this Italian romantic feeling, but it is not for people who want beautiful views out of their window. Location is great, full of small bars and cafes, close to central station and Colliseo.
Great stay in this "Leopolda Suite"! We spent there 5 days. Room with privative bathroom were very clean ! It's big, air-conditioned, beautiful... The balcony, a big more !
The district can a little frighten when we unload at broad daylight, but very clean building, and in the evening, many things to do in this district which moves ! Bus stops close by, we put more or less 15 min to arrive to the city center.
It's a pity not to have seen Valentina (we were welcomed by the cleaning lady) and that we can't use the kitchen free of charge...
Other than that, only positive things !
We as two people stayed in Valentina's room for 5 nights. We liked its location which was a 20 min walk to Roma Termini central station and about half an hour walk to Colloseum with San Giovanni basilica on the way. Closeby there are several trams and buses running to and from Termini and to Vatican district. The room was cosy with an en suite bahroom and had nice view of the old inner courtyard from the balcony. The room was equipped with A/C which was very helpful in hot summer days. Valentina is a helpful person and a very nice host who also provided us with tips for our Roma visit. We would recommend anyone to stay in her place and enjoy Rome!
