The Neighborhood

LOCATION:
This is an original timber loft in Downtown Chicago just steps from some of the hottest restaurants, and nearly every public transportation option Chicago has to offer. There isn't a part of Chicago you can't get to from here easily via public transportation. At night and on the weekends, the area is pretty quiet.

EATING:
This neighborhood is a mecca for foodies. (There is a new celebrity chef restaurant popping up every week.) Several neighborhood pubs. Jewel-Osco is literally across the street, and a European-style market is only a short walk away.

Other Things to Note

Important Note about loft living: There are few things that you need to know about urban loft living before you book with me. This is a traditional loft space. There are few interior walls with no doors, except the closets and bathroom, and the wall don't go all the way to top of the ceiling. The bedroom has a curtain and a room divider to provide visual privacy when needed.

Generally, the loft is not suitable for families with young children.

This is dog friendly building, and I have a small Boston Terrier when I'm home, so the apartment is probably not appropriate for people with dog allergies.

Check-in after 1pm. I am usually can be flexible. Please provide an estimated arrival time. I can store your bags before your arrival or after checkout.

  • Vanessa's loft was amazing and had everything you could need. It really did have a cool eclectic vibe to it and we immediately felt at home. Location is great - short walk to restaurants and anywhere downtown which is perfect if you work there. The area feels very safe and the chocolate smells are no lie! Even a grocery store literally around the corner. Vanessa was very flexible and went above and beyond to give us a place to call home while we searched for housing in Chicago. Thanks Vanessa!

About
Currently working on a goal of visiting 100 countries, and 7 continents before I die. Luckily, I have quite a few years ahead of me, and nasty case of wanderlust. I enjoy meeting people who are curious about the world, and try to make it a better place in both big and small ways.
