Bed and Breakfast "Leonardo da Vinci" is a receptive family accommodation in Florence, near to Accademia Museum and Piazza San Marco. Our neighborhood is around Piazza Savonarola, a nineteen - first twentieth century establishment; our building was built around 1880 and it has his ancient furniture. In our family we have always attached importance to the eating, and so with the room, you'll have a real rich breakfast, with coffee, milk, tea, orange squash, yoghurt, fresh fruits, jam, bread, brioches, eggs... On guest demand, we can also prepare a tuscan dinner, with recipes that are in the family tradition since ever, as our family cames from a village in Florence countryside (they were farmers); some dishes are bread soup (zuppa di pane), liver small crust (crostini di fegatini), Roast "dead" rabbit (coniglio arrosto morto), tomato soup (pappa al pomodoro). On request I can give some cooking lessons, with choice of the menu. Dinner price euro 35 per person; dinner with cooking lesson euro 50 per person. Each lesson includes three recipes. During dinner, Tuscan wine is included. This double room "orange bedroom" (camera arancione), has a large bed and a shared bathroom, with towels, bathrobe, hair-dryer and toilet (website hidden) and free wifi are available. We can help you to book Uffizi and other museums, and also to suggest itineraries and things to do in Florence and surroundings.
Price includes all taxes, City of Florence tourism tax too.
Please notice that the room is a double room and it can accomodate only two persons; we can't accept extra people inside.

Guests will have the keys of their room, and of house's doors, and so they can be completely free to come back and go at every hour they prefer.
Anyway, me, or if I'm not there, one of my sons will be there, in case of any need, day or night.
The building is situated in a quiet and nice area of Florence. Walking distance to Duomo. The room is quite spacious with a very comfortable bed. It felt like
being welcomed guests in a home in beautiful Florence. Our hostess Carla was very helpful, always with a smile, describing points of interest in Florence, making bookings for us and handed over guidebooks and maps for our visit there. Carla prepared tasty breakfasts and we are very happy with our stay in her and her family's home.
Carla and her family were warm and welcoming. They were helpful with directions and information about Florence. Bedroom was as pictured and we slept well. Would be happy to return.
We had a lovely night in Carla's home, and would very much have liked to stay longer. She and her son were so welcoming and helpful. The house is charming, with art decorating the walls that are not filled with interesting books. I hope we will get a chance to go back one day and sample Carla's famous Tuscan dishes.
Carla is great, she was very welcoming and did everything to make us feel well and confortable. She also gave tips for places to visit and eat. The room was confortable and felt like a real cosy home. The room even had a piano that I could play a little. I can really recomend it.
Staying with Carla was one of the best parts of my time in Florence. My friend and I chose to stay with Carla instead of booking a hostel, and it was absolutely worth it. Carla is an incredible host. She is warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. She provided a map and recommended restaurants, attractions, and activities. Every day Carla asked what we had done and made suggestions for the next. She really knows her city and she's proud of it. Breakfast in the morning is charming and plentiful; Carla accommodated us at whatever time we desired. I strongly recommend taking a cooking lesson with Carla, or at least having dinner with her and her family. It was one of the highlights and one of the best meals of our trip.
Her family is a pleasure to stay with. Every night her son greeted us with bottles of cold water and friendly conversation. Her daughter joined us for the cooking lesson and we all ate dinner together in true Italian fashion.
Carla goes beyond the duties of an ordinary B&B host. She really cares about her guests and their comfort.
The room is just as advertised. It was comfortable and modest. Be aware that there is no air conditioning, although there is a fan in the room. Florence is hot during the summer. But it's worth the heat to stay with Carla.
While B&B Leonardo da Vinci may not be the most luxurious of accommodations, you will not find a more authentic and wonderful way to experience Firenze.
We love Carla!! My friend and I stayed here for one night. About a 10 minute walk from the Accademia Gallery, Carla's B&B is homey, full of personality and quite clean. It's full of books and art, and when we came home very late at night, we chatted with Carla's son for a moment about his favorite Italian author. Breakfast in the morning was one of our favorite parts of the trip. We didn't want to leave!!
Directions to the B&B were easy to follow. She called us a taxi the next morning, and gave us helpful directions to wherever we needed to go. Just wonderful.
