DIGS: 2 bedroom flat in vintage 1930's building. You'll have your own private room (It is my son's room -- he is 7 -- he won't be there, of course), double height Queen-sized Areobed (fancy Air Mattress) with soft clean sheets, pillows and comforter/bedspread, Star Wars posters, legos, bright sunny window, hardwoods with a rug. It's in an 1100 sq ft apartment that faces south and west with incredible light with a very urban city living environment. Tile bathroom, tile kitchen upgraded with dishwasher and disposal, and every gadget and cooking contraption you can think of.
Your rental price includes the room, the Aerobed, clean sheets, 2 towels for use, kitchen use and WI-FI.
Apartment is very much a HOME, with fun decor and unique touches. Dining table, vintage couch with ottoman, reupholstered Herman Miller chairs, custom built floor to ceiling shelf unit complete with fishtank, ceiling fans in every room and last but never least.... Thor - the young male cat. He is very much a playful soul but a love; and will become your new best friend.
I will be around in the mornings, but am gone more often than not so mi casa es su casa...

This is URBAN living...
If you bring a car, be prepared to look for parking. It is find-it-yourself and very hit or miss. If you are sensitive to "city" noise, bring earplugs but I do have a portable fan to drown sound. Thor is also a very "active" and a very fluffy (allergy warning) cat.

  • Our host was great. Very accomodating and knowledgable about the area. She also took the time to explain everything and give us a bit of history of the area. If i come back to Portland, I will definitely have her in mind. The area was clean, and the location was not too far from the center of the city. Would definitely recommend her place to anyone

  • Renea was a great host! Very friendly and easy to work out logistics with. She even recommended some cool bars to check out. Location is great too!

  • Wonderful apartment in a wonderful location. The apartment has lovely hardwood floors and is clean and has everything you might need. Perfect location for exploring the NW District (best stretch of NW 23rd begins two streets down from the building) and close to Pearl, downtown, MAX stop, and pretty well anywhere. Renea was super nice and accommodating of our check-in and check-out planning. We had a great time here and would love to visit again!

  • Renea was a wonderful host -- great conversationalist, laid-back, and flexible. The house was conveniently located to about everything you'd want to see/do/taste in Portland. I would love to stay there again if ever in Portland!

  • Renea was very accommodating and helpful with our stay in portland. She was a excellent source of suggestions on places to go eat or local hangouts for music venues. Location is very close to Washington Park and 23rd street with the random businesses lined on the street (be sure to visit the touristy salt and straw). queen/full size air bed was comfy and served its purpose in allowing a two person to share a nights sleep. Did not spend much time in the apartment complex but the area seamed safe and friendly. Max and bus lines are very conveniently located within a 3-7 minute walking distance. As long as you abide by the house rules, you should be good. Renea was a great host and the place was a great area to stay at. Watch out for Thor the cat, he's pretty quiet and sometimes blends into the apartment surroundings, I had a startle seeing him roaming around late at night. Would love to come back and stay again.

  • It was a nice night to stay at Renea's place. Clean, comfortable, and cozy. The location is so great that you can have your breakfast at an artisan bakery and enjoy a cup of tasty coffee at Sterling Coffee. If you are interested in Portland's city life, try Renea's place.

I enjoy exploring the unknown, being a mother, living surprised and carefree. I love music. LOVE it, breathe it, need it. I daydream all the time. I tend to notice things others don't. I'm highly empathetic and very tenacious. I fear the mundane, the stagnant, and the complacent body and mind. I'm a great listener. I am very direct & outgoing. I have a fierce sense of humor. Sometimes witty, sometimes intelligent and often purely ridiculous...I like it like that. I live my life spontaneously but have a continuum as well. Traveling is a passion, so I do it often. Nature amazes me, inspires me and speaks to me. I love to play outside, including riding my bike, floating on some water or getting lost in lots of trees. 5 things I couldn't live without? ~ Sunshine ~ Son ~ Substance ~ Sustenance ~ Spirit/Soul
