It was a lovely experience. Sally was very nice and had some great advice for bali! There were also some dogs and a cat who all were very cute. The location is nice if you dont want to stay in these busy tourist areas.
Sally's humble abode is fantastic! Awesome vibe, very relaxed. Sally will always give you the time of day and is very accomodating. Many laughs and deep and meaningfuls, and we we're only there for 5 days. Will be back to visit some day. Cheers Sally :) x
Sally's place is wonderful and she makes for a great host; full of knowledge and always willing to share and help. She's never far away if you have a question or want to chat, but gives guests their privacy as well. It should be noted that we seemed to have an uncommon bit of bad luck during our stay. The jacuzzi in the spa room wasn't working the first day, the power cut out for a bit the second day, and the wifi internet was out on the third. However Sally did make up for it and we are grateful for that. It should also be noted that regardless of all this we're headed back to stay for a few more days to end our time in Bali, and really looking forward to it! The pyramid room is fantastic and we highly recommend it! Thanks again Sally, see you soon!
We arrived at what is called the dragon pyramid house after a long search. The first impression was dirtiness, noise and a forced welcomed from the owner.
The room that she showed us wasn't the one we booked. When we finally reached it, dust was all over the place, a rotten floor and a feeling of heaviness made us decide that no way we would have stayed there the two nights we booked. I haven't claimed my money back, maybe she can pay a proper cleaner or have a good photographer to take some photos that really illustrate what the the place looks like. We have chosen this place because it looks fantastic on the web and when I said to the owner that it looks better on the web, she said that people say the opposite. Even the color of the swimming pool water was grey, what a great photoshop creator!
Sally was a really great lady but this place just wasn't for me. Wasn't what we really expected from the listing.
Very relaxing atmosphere, not much to do as far as walking distance so if you want to go somewhere you must have a driver or rent a scooter. In the description is says it is in Kuta but its about 30 minutes from there, was a little disappointed when finding that out. Must love animals to stay here, there are a few dogs, a cat, and a monkey in this Villa. Dogs can make noise throughout the night so if you stay here this must not bother you. Very nice host and found me a driver very quickly when I needed one to get me to the airport.

Hello my new Friends!!
Sally is Australian and first came to Bali with Australian Volunteer International working as a midwife consultant/capacity builder helping to establish a Birth Centre for the Poor of Bali in Denpasar. She then fell in love with Bali and now lives here. Sally still provides consultancy for the Birth Centre and donates 10% of the homestay income to supporting the women, babies and families who use the clinic.
i have now opened my home to guests and I am having so much fun sharing life and Balinese culture with my homestay family.
My life is not perfect but it is full of love and humanity.
