About This Listing
Great neighborhood !! West Lakeview, a very safe neighborhood on the Northside of Chicago. Just a two minute walk to Hamlin Park and 5 minutes to Roscoe Village, known for its restaurants, shops and coffee shops.
On the corner of either the Damen (N/S) or Diversey (E/W) bus lines. 15 min car ride to downtown Chicago.
My preferred guests for my Airbnb guest room on the garden level of my duplex apartment are college students, young professionals and tourists.
The room dimensions are 11x12". You will have a full private closet and a full private bathroom at your disposal right next to your room, also a private entrance that leads straight to your room.
The apartment is new, modern yet comfortable in design. There's an entrance on each level for added privacy so we aren't constantly walking through each others' lives.
The available room contains all needed furniture: bed, dresser, bookshelf, lounge chair, table, desk, mirror, small refrigerator etc.
Bed sheets and towels will be provided.
You'll have free wifi, cable tv and a small refrigerator for your private use.
A bus stop is 1 minute away and there is plenty of permit free street parking, in case you have a car.
We have one very small dog and she is hypoallergenic. She is friendly and keeps to herself.
Also, I fluently speak French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese.
I do expect my guests to be respectful and clean.
There is no smoking of any kind allowed and ‘the party’ should be kept outside the house.
Looking forward to hearing from you! :)
No smoking. No pets. No shoes in the house.
I echo all the other great reviews for Daniela. Her place is very cozy private and clean. Plus very near public transport to get anywhere easily in Chicago. My favorite.
Daniela's place is just as described. It's clean, comfortable, private and quiet. The snacks in the fridge when I arrived were a nice touch too! Lovely neighborhood. It's walkable, but not incredibly close to restaurants without a bit of a hike. I didn't mind the walking at all but anyone who does, may. Daniela is very kind and available but gives you the space and privacy you desire.
Daniela is a super host. She knows the perfect equilibrium between be avaiable and and give privacy to the guest. She is very nice people, and you can feel her integrity and a wonderfull vibe.
The house is in a great location. There are a lot bus line very close, the neighborhood is very safe and beautifull.
The room is very confortable, and the bath is perfect!
When I come back to Chicago, Daniela will be my first option!
My stay with Daniela was a very positive one. The communication prior to my stay was very good. She replies to your emails very quickly. During my stay, Daniela was very nice and accommodating. She greeted me when I got there and showed me around. She was nice enough to drive me to the store each weekend to buy some groceries. She even left occasional treats (candy, coffee cake, etc) in the kitchen for guests. I couldn't have asked for a better host.
The listing was as advertised. The house looked just like it does in the pictures. I had my own entrance to the house and my own bathroom downstairs. The room was well furnished with a bed, a desk, plenty of space to store my clothing, and there was a small refrigerator in the hallway for my use. I had access to the kitchen upstairs and could use the microwave or the stove if I wanted. I was also allowed to do laundry there instead of having to go somewhere else.
The neighborhood was a nice neighborhood. There was no time that I felt unsafe. There is a bus that runs right in front of the house every 10-15 minutes. I did not drive while I was there and had no trouble getting around Chicago from her house. A grocery store is within walking distance (a few blocks) and there are plenty of restaurants within a 5 mile radius.
Overall, this was a great place and I would recommend it to anybody.
About the Host, Daniela
I am a work-at-home mom with three children of which two are in college. The youngest, my 14 year old, is living with me, aside from a small dog. I love music, art and most of what Chicago's urban culture has to offer.
