Very welcoming host and an enjoyable stay. Accommodating, helpful and clean. Will look out for here when we return to Tampa some day!
We had a quick one nighter in Tampa while on a road trip and stayed in Elisabeth and Jim's charming home. While the neighborhood wasn't the greatest, it is conveniently located and the home is warm and inviting. The room is perfect, with tons of natural light and the bathroom is wonderful as well. Everything as pictured.
Jim & Elisabeth are lovely people and have a lovely home. I was made to feel welcome in the beginning and all the way through: their home is as immaculate and comfortable as they are warmhearted. Whatever is the highest rating, that is the rating they deserve. Absolutely I will return again ~ Thank You Jim & Elisabeth.
Elisabeth and her family are very sweet! The price was reasonable even though the Neighbourhood was not very good, the location was great for me since I was 5 mins from Ybor City. They provide bikes if you don't have transportation too which I thought that was very nice. The only down side is that when someone walks through the stairs it can get very loud specially if you are light sleeper
Elisabeth and Jim were very hospitable although my days were filled and I didn't get to spend much time at the house. Be sure to ask Elisabeth to see her artwork. She has a great collection from her travels in China that I was fortunate to see.
The room was exactly as described in the listing and it has peaceful natural lighting which made waking up a pleasure. The house is in a neighborhood that is convenient to downtown and Ybor providing wonderful opportunities for sight seeing and museum visits.
I would definitely stay again should I travel to Tampa.
Because of the show and everything around it I didn't get to review you but I really loved your feedback of my work . You are so kind and open minded and I really hope you will come back to stay with us again. Than we can go out on a foto shoot together. The show went well, all nice people came but I didn't sell.
Our time with Elizabeth and Jim was very pleasant. We actually spent most of the weekend together, chatting and eating like old friends. We shared breakfast on the back porch, listening to the chickens. The house is a cool place that has been well cared for/restored. The room was clean, reasonably quiet, comfortable, and private. Lots of Elizabeth's interesting paintings around. The evenings were cool enough with fans and the AC was on during the day so it was comfortable. Close to Ybor, Cigar City, etc. Google the dog was lots of fun, occasionally barks but just once. We would certainly go back if we return to Tampa.
Can Jim adopt me? The man is super awesome! I had a great time chatting with him during our stay. He was very friendly, helpful, and generous. Google provided me with some entertainment while getting some computer work done. This house is definitely an old Florida house, and while some people might be cautious of the neighborhood, it was really pretty safe. We never felt concerned about anything! Every so often the chickens make some noise, the furbaby tries to chat, or you hear the occasional car radio, but it was just like being at home. Thanks for an awesome couple of days!
