  • Lies, Jim and Pieter are a wonderful, laid-back family who were extremely welcoming of us on our eight-day visit. Of our ten airbnb and (website hidden) experiences, this was the one where we felt most welcomed, like a member of the family. The bedroom was large, the private bathroom was huge, the wifi was fast, the space we were given in the refrigerator was more than we could fill, the conversations were fascinating - what a great experience! If we have to give any 'downsides', as we come from a very quiet neighbourhood and house where we can hear our heartbeat at night, is that there is some street noise, some highway noise, and a neighbour's rooster crowing. Also, since we were coming from the cold north, I found the nights a bit warm and sticky even with the large ceiling fan going, though my wife was fine; if I had asked, though, I expect that they would have turned on the AC.

  • This was my first airbnb stay and I was there for 6 nights. I felt comfortable with it due to all the terrific reviews. Also, Elisabeth sounded like such an interesting person with a background like no one I've ever met, so I looked forward to meeting her. It was just as I read and just as I had hoped it would be. The photos are also exactly what I found, as well. The room, the bathroom, and the house were very clean and comfortable.

Elisabeth was very nice, giving, and available for conversation and information. Her son Peter was very polite. I only got to meet her husband Jim the day before I left and he made himself available for good conversation, as well. I absolutely recommend this to anyone who is willing to reciprocate their gracious and respectful manner.

  • Lovely welcoming home, lovely family, great conversations. Clean, neat large room and bathroom and even a shelf of their refrigerator was cleared for me.
Elizabeth took me to Ybor City, a wonderful vintage area of old Tampa, (only 1 mile away), on a tour of the city and to an art festival. I was made to feel special and it worked!
I felt at home. I truly believe that you will too.

  • Elisabeths place was a very comfortable place to stay for us in Tampa. The house was very clean and we could use the kitchen for our needs. The private room and the bathroom fully met our expectations (including the Winney Pooh sheets ;-))
The parking space in front of the house was very helpful. Additionally, Elizabeth recommended us to visit the great Zoo in Tampa instead of Busch Gardens (we don't like roller coasters so much) which was a great tip.
The neighborhood was very quite. So altogether we absolutely recommend this place.

  • Jim and Elisabeth were great hosts. They were very accommodating and pleasant. Our stay was brief (about two or three days) and although we didn't get a chance to have any of their chickens' eggs (!!!) we really wanted some. Actually we did have some of the deviled eggs and they were delicious.
The room is very spacious and the bathroom is amazing. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and it's very close to historic Ybor. Had a great time!

  • Jim and his son Peter (Elisabeth was unfortunately not here at this time) are lovely people. They were full of good advice, took care of us and were really helpful. We also enjoyed chatting with them on many subjects. We truly felt at home. This one was very comfy and nice (except mosquitoes !!). The neighborhood is fine, full of beautiful houses. Groceries and pharmacy are close and we can reach easily on foot the historic (and lively) quarter.
We truly recomend these hosts for your stay in Tampa !
