We are a 10 min. walk from the Othello light rail station in southeast Seattle. In spring 2021 we completed a sweet enclosed cabin room under our treehouse for monthly stays! In spring of 2019 we finished a lovely bath house (with separate bathroom and shower rooms) along with a kitchenette for both our treehouse cabin and cottage guests to use. We look forward to hosting you during your Seattle explorations!

Our unique and cozy spaces are created for solo guests and we do not allow pets.

The space
Welcome! Come enjoy your time in Seattle at a lovely urban farmstead. We are 10 min walking distance from Othello light rail station! Our sweet new cabin is an urban garden oasis at the back of our homestead property in a diverse neighborhood in southeast Seattle. There is an outdoor living room area on the treehouse platform with a roof the treehouse living room upstairs which is a nice spot to eat meals, do yoga, and hang in the afternoon sun taking in the surrounding nature.

In the spring of 2019 we finished a beautiful bathroom and kitchenette building in the backyard so that guests no longer have to enter our house to use the facilities. Please note that you will be sharing the building with the guests in our other listing in the backyard (The Sweetpea Garden Cottage). Please keep in mind that this is a shared space so please leave it as you found it for the next users. The kitchenette has a sink, coffee/tea maker, microwave, blender, small refrigerator, two burner stove top, toaster oven, rice cooker, cutting board area and basic dishes/utensils. There is a large grill on the big covered back porch that is also available but please let us know if you want use it so we can be sure to give you some info on use.

We have a down to earth, welcoming and family/youth hostel type atmosphere/attitude (and we hope you do too!). The big back porch attached to the main house and the firepit are shared hang out spaces for fellow travelers and you will also find that wifi is strongest there.

Walking distance to Othello Light Rail Station for easy access to downtown. Also nearby is the fantastic Seward Park and the Kubota Gardens for outdoorsy loveliness. A few blocks away is our beautiful Rainier Beach indoor swimming pool complete with corkscrew slide, lazy river, jacuzzi, and sauna!

Please note there a kitty, Oscar that roams around the gardens and hangs out on the main house back porch. He does not enter the rooms.

Where you’ll be

Seattle, Washington, United States

We have a very diverse and friendly neighborhood. We are close to Kubota Garden and Seward Parks - two amazing outdoor spots in the city. We are excited to now have the sweet Beach Bakery Cafe about 4 blocks away at the corner of Rainier and Kenyon. Other good eats are Ethiopian, Mexican, and Vietnamese. Our neighborhood is very diverse and growing, thriving with the expansion of developments around Othello Light Rail Station.
